    Emerson LC320EM81 Dim Backlight

    Morning,

I got a 32" LCD Emerson that powers up and works fine but the sceen is dim. I can go into the menu and turn the brightness all the way up but still is dim. I seem to have power going to the backlight circuit to turn it on and the backlight dim circuit has about 3.2volts on it.

Any ideas or things to check would be most appreciated.

    Thanks

check out my thread i think in your 3rd pic the red and white wires at the bottom at shorting out because they look like they got hot and might have burnt through the plastic casing causing your problem. check out my thread it is a sylvania but the setup is close. post back if that is the problem and that fixed it and if it didn't fix it still post back anyways please.

wow i didn't look at the rest of the board. it looks like a bunch of things got hot a bunch of diodes and resistors. you might have to change all of them and find out what caused them to get so hot. it's a good thing you are a fireman you might of had to use your skills to put that 1 out if it went up in flames!

Were you able to fix? What did you end up doing?

              No Backlight Macbook A1990 820-01041
              by Comp_Pro
              Hello all,

Am trying to figure out this backlight issue with this A1990 Macbook Pro.

              Tests performed:

There is no backlight even with a good screen.
Backlight IC is receiving the correct support voltages.
              Fuse F8400 ok
              Current sense resistor R8400 ok
Backlight IC is receiving 3.3V on enable pin.
Backlight IC receiving voltage from PPBUS_G3H, aprox 12.5V.
Backlight IC receiving 5V from PP5V_G3S
Backlight IC BKLT_SCL and BKLT_SDA both measure 0.545V diode mode to ground
              I2C_BKLT_SCL and I2C_BKLT_SDA both measure...

iPad Pro 12.9 5th Gen Backlight Issue
              by cheebster
Hello, got an iPad Pro A2378 12.9 5th gen with no backlight. Got another test unit without screen, tested the screen, still no backlight with the test unit.
Figured out the backlight on the screen was bad, ordred a new backlight from mobilesentrix, *carefully replaced it* without damaging the lcd, oh well.
Final result, issue is still there, the screen has no back lights. So i'm back to square one, with 3 hours less and 100$ out, issue still on the screen.
The panel is still ok, i can see the apple in the middle of the screen when it kicks in, just no backlight.
              Anyone...

Asus N73 backlight enable circuit - explanation
              by Adenitz
              Hello,

attached is shown part of LCD backlight circuit in Asus N73 laptop. Here, I'd like to clarify few things about how this circuit actually works.

First of all, some signals end with '#'. From the context I can conclude that this means that signal is present when actual voltage state is low, for example 0V.

In order to have backlight, the signal LED_BKLTEN must be present i.e. high voltage = 3.3V in this case.

This is possible only if the following signals are also on high voltage level:
BUF_PLT_RST# is 3.3V which means the...

Thomson 50UD6306 (TCL) Backlight Issue, starts then stops, led changed
              by Cornito
              Hello Team,

I'm back with another backlight issue that I thought was simple, but it turned out to be more complex than expected.

Let me provide a brief history: The TV was working well, then one day, the backlight started and shut down. I thought I had an LED issue leading to this behavior, so I replaced the LEDs with brand new ones. However, the issue remains the same.

Next, I replaced the electrolytic capacitors attached to the LED power supply, but the results were the same. I then replaced the driver, a OB3365RP, and did it twice due to the same result....
