    Bridge Rectifiers to Stock

    I retired from Industrial Electronics/Electrical field. Heart Dr. said I have to do something. I used to do TV many years ago. I come across this Great Forum and have learned alot from you guys. I have a small shop for Flat Screen Repair. I have a decent assortment of Capacitors of various uf and voltages, zener diode kit, diode kit, smd capacitor kit and a assorment of voltage regulators.
    There are many different Bridge Rectifiers. Part numbers? Voltages? Amps? I have not seen a Bridge Rectifier Kit.
    What Bridge Rectifiers should I stock?
    What Schottky Diodes shoud I stock?
    Thanks

    Re: Bridge Rectifiers to Stock

    Diodes, in general:
    1N4007, can replace all 1N400x
    UF5408, can replace all UF540x and 1N540x (ultrafast type)
    1N5819, can replace 1N5817,18
    1N5822, can replace 1N5820,21
    UF4007, can replace all UF400x and 1N400x (consider this instead of 1N4007)

    There are only a few major package sizes for bridge rectifiers but I rarely see them failing so would in general not worry about stocking up on them.

        MBR20100 pops up now and then but there are many variants.

            What Zener Diodes on a Linear Power Supply
            by caspian
            Dear members,

            I have a linear variable power supply with unknown brand name that I used for voltage injection.
            Then it failed. I discovered that its transistors (Q1 and Q2) are shorted.
            In addition, I discovered that its zener diodes are defective.
            I can replace the burned transistors.
            But I do not know the model of the zener diodes. the model number is not marked on the zener diodes.
            Therefore, I cannot replace the zener diodes.
            I do not want to test the zener diodes in a test circuit to discover their model or value.
            no schematics are available...

            Diagnosing South Bridge (FH82H370) on Asus H370-Pro Gaming Motherboard
            by Ross Kohler
            Hi,

            I'm learning about motherboard repair and I believe I've traced the issue down for the South Bridge on the particular motherboard I'm working on. My path of concluding that:
            - There's no sign of any attempt to power on when pushing the power button.
            - No PSON signal is reaching the 24-pin ATX connector.
            - The Super IO chip is receiving the PS_SWITCH signal from the power button and is relaying this signal back to the South Bridge.
            - The Super IO is not receiving the S_SLPS#_R signal back from the South Bridge
            - If I pull the Super IO S_SLPS#_R pin...

            Casing Power MPT-301 [PCB ATX9806b-p REV: A3]
            by momaka
            This one should make @Pentium4 smile (if he is still reading BCN forums) – I got a new old stock / open box Casing Power MPT-301 PSU on eBay for $4 total.

            Yes, it’s a very generic-looking box, but the manufacturer isn’t (at least not back in the days), which is…

            Macron Power Technology Co. LTD.

            Let’s look at the PSU itself.

            The shell/case also appears quite generic, like many “sold-with-the-PC-case” units. However, the shell is well-formed and has decent steel thickness. In terms of...

            Need real mobo dump of BIOS v402 for ASUS PRIME Z590-A - stock image no help
            by DynaxSC
            Hi,

            I have a serious problem to program the Z590 chipset SRAM with a Management Engine after replacing the chipset.
            The new chipset is factory new and is not containing any Management Engine. Any attempts to program it into the chipset under Windows ends with a failure (eg. Error 20: Management Engine Device not present, or something similar).
            Due to the lack of the ME several ports on the board, including all M.2 ports aren't working, booting OS works only on USB. So it's now other way, as to program the chipset with a ME.

            Usually on ASUS boards it worked...

            Asus H77 LGA1155 mainboard stopped working with Ivy Bridge CPUs
            by Roman555
            Bad symptoms when Ivy Bridge CPU (3rd-gen 22nm) is installed:
            • Won't boot OS (just blank screen or stucks at asus logo, monitor is turned on) with hangs at debug (post) code A3;
            • USB stick with MS-DOS can be loaded via F8 boot menu;
            • Other OSes won't load - hangs or goes reboot;
            • Postponed for several seconds reaction to Alt-Ctrl-Del, Reset and Power buttons;
            • An operating system starts loading but won't finish if it's left only 1 CPU core in BIOS settings;
            What I've already done and it hasn't helped:
            • Cleared CMOS many times;
            • Flashed different versions of BIOS in a CH341 programmer;
            • Updated
