    Emerson PL-P42W-10A

Hi everyone, I am trying to repair my 42inch Emerson plasma TV. Internally it is a Samsung and all the boards are Samsung inside. The inside sticker labels it a Samsung panel M# S42AX-YB08.
Problem is that it randomly turns off by itself and the sound continues to play for several minutes after that happens. During this period that it is off but playing sound, the LED on the LOGIC board goes out and if I disconnect the connector going from the power supply to it and reconnect it, the picture will come right back on.
I have checked all voltages and they are correct and the picture looks great when it is on. The caps all visually appear to be ok. No signs of overheating anywhere. After the TV warms up, it will turn off every 10 minutes or so, and you have to power it off and back on via the remote to get it back on.
I do have a slight buzzing sound coming from the Sustain board but not loud, just a slight buzz and the buzz goes away when it shuts down. When it shuts down I do not have the 200volt DC voltages.
I am completely stumped now at this point because the problem comes and goes. What else can I do or check?

I no nothing about Plasma Tvs but I believe it is not good to disconnect and reconnect
parts whilst it is powered up (if that is what you are saying)
You could try heating it gently with a hair dryer to see if it is quicker to go off or
us cooling to see if it stays on longer. If either has any effect then try and narrow down the problem area.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Well, last night I finally tore it all down and found my problem. Was clear as day once I had it apart. On the very bottom of the plasma glass panel itself, the thin ribbon connectors that plug into the E-Buffer had a very tiny tear from where the metal hold down bracket touches it. There are little rubber bumpers under each ribbon connector on that metal bracket and I guess it caught it when it was being put together. There's no way I see possible to repair this so its off to the scrap heap.
Oh well, learned a lot about plasma panels in the process and saved all the boards in hopes of finding another broken Emerson/Samsung TV with a good panel.

Yeah, its the ribbon connector leading into the glass itself. The little traces are so small you can barely see them.
