Hi, I have here a Sony KDL-32S2030 and when i power it on i get a black screen with backlight on and green power light on, I held in the volume up button and could hear the volume go up then a slight hissing sound when it was at max so it would appear the tv is powered on ok just not displaying anything... I have the back off it here now, Anyone any advice?? I've included a pic of the back of the set and the tcon, I was looking for a white fuse labled f1 to test but couldn't see any, Can anyone help me out a bit here... Thanks.. ;-)

Re: kdl 32S2030 no display
It means the main board is not sending the B+ (5v or 12v depends on the LCD panel)to feed the T-CON board. There should be switched MOSFET that is turn on to send the B+ to the T-CON board. You can trace those 5 wires on the left of the LVDS connector back to the main board to see where they are connected to.Last edited by budm; 12-16-2013, 05:50 PM.Never stop learning

Re: kdl 32S2030 no display
"I'm getting 0.341v on one side of the tcon fuse and 0.000v " I wonder if there was shorted circuit on the T-CON which caused the fuse on the T-CON to blow, and it took out the MOSFET on the main board with it. Please verify that the fuse is still good.Never stop learning
