by KYBOSHPrevious owner said TV just went blank one day.
They attempted to open the back panel and yanked the power connector off the power supply in the meantime.
Easily fixed that and got the TV to turn on. Backlights come one with everything connected. Good Sign.
The mainboard shows signs of life (red light on digital audio out is on) but that's about it. Good Sign.
There is not blinking LED and the most importantly there is LED response and sound when I press the MENU button on remote control. GREAT Sign.

by x_orange90_xFinally got my KD-50X690E up and running after replacing the power supply. Upon testing it I noticed the lack of sound from the speakers. At first I just ignored it thinking it was set to external speakers or some other kind of audio setting. However, after actually going into settings and looking around I see nothing of this sort. I looked it up on Google and apparently a lot of people have disappearing audio on a variety of Sony TVs 🙄. I'm going to see if a firmware or software update will resolve it, if available.
Has anyone else had this happen to their tv?

by ryandesignHello! I would like to repair my father's Sony Bravia KDL-40v4100 LCD TV. It was in perfect working order the last time I used it before the pandemic. Then it sat plugged in but unused for a year or more. And now everything still works except that there is no picture on the screen. A relay can be heard to click when the power cable is connected. When the power button is pressed there is a green power LED and then the backlight turns on. If I connect an HDMI cable and play something with audio I can hear it through the speakers. The remote control buttons are recognized. There is just never anything...

by justin35Hello,
i have this sony bravia kdl-43w755c which boot loops. After sony logo, it shows the android animation loading then it restarts…
from what i read online it looks to be an emmc issue…
i’m not familiar with this kind of tv repairs… i’m repairing laptops and gpu’s…
i took out the board and say an samsung 16gb emmc
i don’t have an exact replacement, but i have a few 32 and 64gb emms’s from laptops…
i could try to put one instead of the 16gb one, but will it work?
where do i get the software from?
any help will be much appreciated!...03-06-2024, 12:26 PM -
by x_orange90_xI just got an XBR3 that does not appear to be turning on. As soon as you plug it in the SONY logo and the green power light come on but the screen stays dark. Pressing the power button once gives a single blink of the power light and it remains on. Holding the button in for about 4 seconds causes the logo and the power light to turn off, but as soon as I let go of the button they come right back on.
I have an XBR4 that if I recall correctly has a very distinct relay click when you turn it on, however I'm not hearing that from the XBR3. I just got it yesterday and haven't had a... - Loading...
