Need help troubleshooting plasma (no picture, but does glow)

I'm pretty new to the electronics repair field (just fyi)

I've got a Panasonic th-50pz800u that has no picture, but it does power up and stay on with a glow on the screen. I've been researching the web for a few days now and my head is swimming with information overload.

I "think" the problem is with the A board, but I wanted to get a bit more input before I spend the cash on the board.

From what I've read, if the Ysus was bad the panel would not prime? (not sure if that's correct, but that's what I've gathered)

I've got the TV apart and I have tools, so please let me know if there are further troubleshooting steps I can take to be sure it's the A board.

    Thanks for any help,
    Caveman

Well...I just read through the stickies and saw that you all like the model number in the title. Should I create a new post?

      No that's fine.
A-board is a common fault on these sets.
