    Hisense lcd40v57ca 120Hz Ripple

I have 2 horizontal transparent lines rolling up a Hisense lcd40v57ca TV screen.
Could this be 120Hz Ripple from bad caps in the power supply?

    Thank You.

I would suspect bad filter caps in the power supply, and in the main board, try heating the caps with hair dryer to see if it gets better.

Someone else here had a Hisense LCD with a bad main filter cap but they did have different symptoms.

        Re: Hisense lcd40v57ca 120Hz Ripple

        Hi,
with 99.9% probability it´s the mains filter cap, since in switching power supplies you only find 60/120Hz on the primary side of the supply. Had the same issue with my satellite receiver, two lines on the screen, sometimes rolling upwards, sometimes downwards. Mains filter cap was totally dried out (not bulged!), no capacity anymore. Replacement should have same or more capacitance, same or higher voltage range, it´s a good idea to take one with higher temp range (105°) for a longer life.
        Greetings,
        Wolf

Is it no harm to replace with capacitor without ripple current rating?
            by chth96
When I tried to repair LG 29 inch CRT TV, I found that the ESR value of samyoung SMS capacitor(160v 2.2uf), which is very close to D1879 transistor, is 6 ohm.

Judging from above ESR Meter Table,I think It is necessary to replace this sms capacitor. So I visited local electronics shop, and I purchased 160v 2.2uf rubycon YK capacitor.
But when I browse through rubycon YK datasheet,I found that there is no ripple current rating for 160v 2.2uf specification. But On the contrary, I found 39 mA ripple current rating for 160v 2.2uf SMS capacitor.
            Rubycon YK DataSheet (b...

Can I Swap Screens Between Two Hisense 75” QLED TVs?
            by ShahZaib Ghumman
            Hey folks,

I'm not a professional, but I do have a decent amount of knowledge when it comes to electronic repairs.

A friend of mine recently bought a brand new Hisense 75” 4K QLED Smart TV (75E7NQTUK) but unfortunately, he cracked the screen just a few days later. Luckily, he had insurance and got a replacement right away but weirdly enough, the insurance company never asked for the broken unit back.

So, I took it off his hands and figured I'd try to repair it myself rather than see it go to waste. I've been searching for a replacement screen but can't...

What are typical ripple voltages on a laptop motherboard?
            by Antonynl
I have here a HP pavilion hp 15-cs2975nd with a 1.095v power supply that is driven by a FDMF3035. I do see about 80mV of ripple on my scope. I searched through the datasheet to find possible values of the ripple but I don't understand the datasheet well enough.

            So I have two questions:
            1) what is the typical ripple voltages of gpu/cpu on a laptop or pc mobo?
            2) what would be the max ripple of a FDMF3035 that drives an output of 1.095V?

Would be nice to have a rule of thumb of say a percentage of the supply voltage to be an acceptable ripple voltage....

Hisense stuck in Colors cycle like test pattern.
            by nono34
            Hello,

I accidentally changed the project ID in the service menu of my Vidaa Hisense 100U7KQ TV. When I turn on the TV, the screen displays an RGB color cycle (test mode???). I contacted Hisense, and they sent me a usb_MTK_9618.EU.bin file, but it doesn't work. I can see that the USB drive is being read, and it flashes for about 10 minutes (the screen remains in the color cycle during the firmware reading), then the TV turns off and restarts, but still in the color cycle mode.

I want to mention that the 4GB USB is formatted in FAT32 MBR. I've also renamed the file to...
