I have to get a magnifying glass because I can't see the numbers, however that number I gave is what they're saying is the only compatible part in existence for a replacement.Comment

Are you saying U18 is the only marking available?
U18 is just the board component identification number, not the I.C part I.D.
3632-0832-0150R is the whole board part number.
Look for a Service Manual for your model of TV and locate U18 to identify the part.Comment

Give me a few minutes and I will come up with a part number or where you can get one. I repaired a Visio 32 in. and had to replace the chip.Have you ever stopped to think and then forget to start thinking again?

Ok here is the part number you need if you are talking about the EEprom chip on the board next to the Large video chip. It is in an area outlined with a white line. By the way Miguel sell this chip on Ebay and programs it. I think the cost is $25.00.
Part Number: MX25L6406E
You might want to read through the Thread on the fix for my tv. It has a reference to a guy named Miguel in Dallas who programed my EEprom for me. Just getting the part from a supplier will not help, it must be programed. This is the link to the thread. https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...t=20864&page=6 Pay no attention to all the talk of the TCon board it had nothing to do with the problem. Also read all the way through this Thread as there were several problems you might want to check out. There are three fets that you might also need to replace. They are mentioned in the Thread also.
Hope this helpsLast edited by killian6pk; 10-18-2013, 08:32 AM.Have you ever stopped to think and then forget to start thinking again?

Re: Vizio 3632-0832-0150R Eeprom (u18)
Thanks for the help. I was not referring to U18 as the part number. The 0150 is what was listed for a replacement chip in google search. I said U18 because I'm not sure yet what number is on the chip I can't see because of its minuteness...
However, I am now focused on another chip L367 which is another 8 legged IC. I can't find a replacement or pinout. I think it may be shorted out and need a pinout.
Thanks for ALL the help guys.Comment

Re: Vizio 3632-0832-0150R Eeprom (u18)
From my research the part number that I gave you in my previous post is the only problem that anyone has had with ICs in the Vizio tvs. This chip carries all the setup info for the tv and seems to get corrupted easily. I would suggest reading all the Vizio Threads for tvs from 32 to 36" most of them look very similar in design especially the video boards. Reading the threads is time consuming, but will give you some great information. Most problems that people have repeat over and over in a particular brand of tv.
If you did not read the thread on my Vizio fix there is also a need to reflow the main video chip. That may be where the U18 chip get corrupted.
Hope everything works out for you.Have you ever stopped to think and then forget to start thinking again?

by acedogblastThis is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. You MUST have experience and tools to do precision micro-soldering, BGA reballing, trace repair, and general laptop repair skills.
There are some specialty tools needed to do this task. The replacement MEC1503 chips can be acquired from Aliexpress. Do not buy the bare chips as... -
by staviHi There,
I'd like to read/write the contents of the eeprom chip.
This is located on the print head of a Canon inkjet printer.
It is likely that this disables the head after printing an xy copy.
Unfortunately, I can't identify the chip, so I can't read it either.
That is written on it: TO2 (T null? 2), KU
Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
Many thanks for help... -
Long story short:
- dad converted Asus Chromebox CN62 into Windows compatible, with mrchromebox BIOS, years and years ago
- gave the computer to his son a couple years later
- son now decided to revert it to Chrome OS, to sell it as original (re-writing BIOS with the backup one created by his dad)
- too lazy to remove the board from the case, thought a voltage regulator was the BIOS chip (you know... it has 8 legs)
(seems like the story was not that short)
He used alligator clips to read the chip. No luck reading it. Removed chip and placed on a SOC-8... -

by edgarmg15Hi everyone
Iยดm trying to repair a TV Vizio E320-A0 that I found in the street
The symptoms are it doesn't respond with remote or buttons, the LED indicator is always off and also there is no image on the TV.
The power supply board works fine (I probed the terminals with my multimeter) but in the main board the EEPROM doesn't works correctly because the voltage on the pins doesn't match with the parameters of the datasheet.
So, Iยดm going to replace the EEPROM with a new one, but the problem is that my programmer (CH341a)... - Loading...
