Canon printhead eeprom chip identification, and find pinout

    Hi There,

I'd like to read/write the contents of the eeprom chip.

This is located on the print head of a Canon inkjet printer.
It is likely that this disables the head after printing an xy copy.
Unfortunately, I can't identify the chip, so I can't read it either.

That is written on it: TO2 (T null? 2), KU
Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

    Many thanks for help

the first 4 pins grounded points to a 24c series eeprom - maybe a 24c02?

        Hi everybody,
Thanks for the quick help! I'll try to read it based on the data sheet.

Re: Canon printhead eeprom chip identification, and find pinout

          Hi,

Unfortunately, it is so small that the smd foot clips could not hold it.
I needed to unsolder it. That's when I noticed that even my smallest adapter is too big for it.
Do you have any ideas on how to proceed?
Another question, my eprom writer is an RT809F type, can it read this type of chip? Perhaps an even smaller socket can be purchased?
          Have any idea?

          Thanks for the help

If it's too small for TSSOP, there is only MSOP8 in the datasheet that is smaller (with legs).

According to your idea, you should have such an adapter in the kit, solder it on it and connect it to the programmer.

                Hi,
                Thanks for the tip.
I can successfully solder it up and read it .
Its contents should be decoded. I found a separate topic for the canon printer, I will move there in the future.
                thanks Stavi

What model or make is the canon inkjet printer this is?

Here are the print head EPROM data for a Canon MG 5750. The print head was functioning properly before the chip was removed.
PS: After re-soldering the chip, the print head still functions perfectly
