Hello everyone,
I am having a power issue with my Olevia 242FHD-T11 TV:
There is no blue stand-by light on when plugged in. No response when attempting to power on. No red LEDs illuminated on the main board, either. Nothing else was wrong with the TV until it decided to keel over.
Since I am a new forum member I will go ahead and say "yes, I checked to see if it was plugged in."
I also checked my power cable for continuity as I have cats in the house that sometimes like to use random stringy-things as dental floss; All is well from wall-to-unit.
After reading through this site extensively I decided to dive in to the guts of the machine and check my power board caps (among other parts). The first thing I checked was continuity on the fuse where the UPC cable comes into the system; all good. When I got to the power board I immediately noticed bulging and some leakage on several of the capacitors; this seems to be consistent with problems others in this forum have had with this model.
To sum up: Given the apparent lack of standby power to the "keyboard" (I didn't actually test with multimeter, just going on observation), no lights on the main board along with the bulging of my power board caps I am hoping this will be an easy cap-replacement-fix.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
I will post pictures of the caps in question later today (my wife took the camera to work this morning before I was able to download them). Thanks again!!!

***The day before the TV went out I noticed that the remote control ceased to change the source --- not sure if that comes in to play here as the TV went out before I was able to change the batteries. I did use my multimeter to check the batteries, though, they still had 1.3V so I don't believe it was a dead battery issue there.***
