    2 standby voltages

I have a power supply with 2 standby voltages of 5v each. A 5 pin wire harness running from the remote sensor to the power supply is supplying the 2 voltages, the other wires I believe are gnd. What is the purpose of having 2 voltages for standby? Which ones would I jump to see if I can get operating voltage?

More info needed about this power supply. Make and model?

The wires are probably in parallel.

In standby the set probably uses around 100mA, or about half a watt. When running it might pull around 2 or 3 amps from the standby rail. So you need more than one cable to carry the current without too much voltage drop and heating. Some designs are like that, instead of using a separate 5V rail they just draw it from the standby.
