Great repair job, so is this the replacement board or the original board?

Excellent to hear! If it was a new board perhaps it was damaged in shipping.

Budm, this was the replacement board. The original board had some marks from arcing I think and kept blowing a fuse. I don't know enough yet to troubleshoot it.

Re: Samsung LN40C630 won't turn on

Hi Guys. I'm late to this party. I just went through this entire thread. Having the same issue. Red light blinks as though it were turning on and nothing. I pulled the board off and did not have the push through on the back like the original person did. What would be next?

Additionally, the speakers do not work. Are these issues related?

I am in no way a techy guy in so far as understanding volts, how to read them, etc. I am capable enough to do a simple solder job or replace the board.

          I appreciate any help!

          Thanks!

Could be a power board problem. I'm chasing similar issue on a LA40C650. Totally dead, no standby. Found blown 3.15A fuse and 2 shorted Mosfets 12N50 which power the backlight cct.

Kinda got it working but backlight was erratic and eventually it went bang again.

The same FETs blews but also a lot of resistors and SMD transistors around these blew as well.

Any chance you could check your board for me and see what version you have?

I need to know the resistor values because mine are burnt.

I have BN44-00340A, the B version is different in this cct so no good for a comparison

Re: Samsung LN40C630 won't turn on

cheers but it's the power board in the middle, not the mainboard I need help with. But you'll need to check if you have BN44-00340A as the power board

I've marked the part, on it will be some numbers, could be 3 or 4 digits. The one next to it is 2700, I can almost make it it starts with a 3? I just need the digits on the top.

This is the section in mine that blew plus the 3.15A fuse on top

The boards in that TV looks just like the ones in my Samsung LCD Model LN55C650 i'm working on.... Just the little quick sound its suppose to make when turned it on and off' all the boards are powered up, no backlight ....
When my tv is turned on, it blinks the red light 5 times and all the boards are powered up and the red light goes out after the 5 blinks., no other light on....When I turn it off the red light stays solid.... Haven't found anything yet.....
