Considering this hai 7209pc stellar reputation for failure is there a way to inject the voltages directly to the led strip and bypassing the constant current circuit? How about pin shorting on the ic? I have a feeling something is wrong with the icDid I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

Trying to get thus tv figured out still. I have consistent 45vdc going to the led strip center pin. The four outer pins are used for current sensing?Did I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

well since this tv is so cheaply made and personally I really don't care I went a head and started doing some hack job mods. I took the current balancing pins which is essentially ground for the LED's and disconnected from the circuit and grounded them to the chassis. The LED still power up but I still have flickering. So now I'm trying to find a good 45 volt source of the power supply to apply the positive for the LED's direct anyone have any ideas?Did I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

and my hack job appeared to work! Full brightness beautiful picture anyone wants to know how it was done I took a .33ohm resistor and put it across two pins. 10 and 11 off the hai 7209pc ic disabling the current sensing on the ic. Also removed a smd capacitor and resistor from the circuit but its not nessecary.

I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump
One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy... -
Have had two Acer K272HUL monitors die with the same symptoms:
- Blue power light is illuminated while the monitor is plugged in
- Black screen (no splash screen, etc.)
- Power button doesn't do anything
Opened it up and checked for bad caps and components, evidence of burns, etc. - everything looks fine.
Power supply voltages are fine.
There are some signal lines on the power supply harness that goes from the power supply to the logic board, not sure what these should be at.

I have been working on this concept for quite some time now with limited success but recently I found a switching power supply that is setup for the voltage that this soldering station needs to operate at however it also needs part of the secondary circuit from the original switching power because you need several voltage rails
I once tried to get a ZD-915 desoldering station to work on a 18 volt battery power supply but unfortunately things did not go well but I did find a work around but I might try this idea again but going at a little differently more about this another time... -
Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi all, I just need to know that, can i use SMPS type power supply to test and short circuit detection on a laptop motherboard?
I saw 95% of repair guys are using only Linear bench power supply. linear bench power supply is pricy, thats why i planned to get one SMPS supply.
i know that in linear power supply the noise will be very low comparing to SMPS supply....
