    Replacing a Panasonic TNPA5081

    Hi,

It looks like I have a bad SC board from a 50" set. In reading the other posts, I didn't see any discussion of whether other Panasonic SC boards are acceptable substitutes for the TNPA5081. Are they? If so, what do I need to be concerned about?

    Thanks!

    Re: Replacing a Panasonic TNPA5081

By substitution do you mean revision or completely different Board number? For the 50" models fitted with the TNPA5081 there's 3 revisions for the 2D models & 2 for the 3D.

A TNPA5105 appears to be a cut down version of the TNPA5081, uses the same buffer boards minus heatsinks but will it mount on the panel?, will the cabling reach? and how would it go being driven by an A board with different firmware plus the panel model will be different .

not something I'd try, there little to gain as both will be just as hard and as expensive to source i would expect.

Thanks. I was wondering about a completely different board number (a lot of them look similar). It's probably better to play it safe and stick with a TNPA5081.

What is a reasonable price for the TNPA5081?

Problem with PANASONIC CF53 laptop after changing BIOS settings
        by AquaMan Ua
Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
        by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 mk1 BIOS repair
        by aa10aa10
        Good day,

I have tried to remove BIOS supervisor password from Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 mk1. Model number CF-33AENABTG, unfortunately I don't have any other info.

I read the BIOS using afuwin, edited it and tried to flash new edited BIOS using afuwin. Unsuccessfully. Afuwin showed "Error: Problem erasing flash." starting with 0x00040000 and stoped. Then I tried many other options to flash BIOS from Windows without any luck. Finally i rebooted the device - and no post. Afterwards I have read the corrupted bios chip (MX25L12873F) using EZP2010 programmer....
