    Re: Sony KDL40S2000

0.6 Ohms is the reading on all top inverter 10 MOSFET.
The lower board is on Mohms at 2.3 now and dropping.
Now the blown fuse is still on the board. Should I replace and get new readings with good fuse?

Looks like I know who got the $40 TV. So it was a bad inverter/backlight problem, when I first saw the photo I assumed a bad panel.

No need to put any new fuse in right now, you have really bad shorts that draw more than 10A, so how many MOSFEs are there on that top board. You may want to shop around for the new board also.

            Re: Sony KDL40S2000

There are 10 MOSFET on the top board. I actually just finished putting in the new fuse. Any more ideas prior to looking for a new board?

              Re: Sony KDL40S2000

If I were you, I would replace all 10 Mosfet and all the electrolytics caps at the same time, bad caps can cause the MOSFET to draw too much current and get damaged due to high AC ripple on the DC power feeding the circuits. I would replace the caps on the bottom also.
