sharp lc-40sh340k it has picture, the problem is the sound goes after 15 mins so the lcd has to be turned off then on again, is the problem the avi board cheers in advance

You may have a component on the power supply or A/V board that's overheating. I'd monitor voltages from the PSU to the main board to see if they drop. I'm thinking the main board is the issue on this one, though. I'm a big fan of using a hair dryer and cold spray in an attempt to reproduce issues such as this one at will.
