Lg 50pc3d blinks once click shutsdown

The Problem am having is the tv when the power button is press the front led goes from red, green then back red. It startups ones then shutsdown. The voltages i read on P800 Connector


Press Power Stutsdown
P800 PINS

4.83v 1. AC-D 4.85V
4.53V 2. RL-ON 0V
5.03 3. STANDBY 5.04V
3.6V 5. VS-ON 0V
4.66V 6. 5V-D 0V
5.02V 7. M5V-ON 0V
5.03V 8. STANDBY 5.05V
3.32V 10. NC 3.34V
5.98V 11. 6V 0V
4.53V 13. 3.3V 0V


The Connector P802/P803 Voltages startup then stutsdown.

But i'll disconnect y-sus cables from PS the voltages Vs-230v then drop fast and stay at 4v, Va-66v then drop fast to 0v but the 5v-4.98 and stays there.


Next I disconnected P800 from the main Board jump 470 resistors from standby to rl-on and m5-on PS voltages reading 6v-6v, 12v-12v, 19v-19v, 3.3v-0v, Vs-0v,Va-0v and 5v-5v

Disconnected P804 & P805 voltages reading 6v-6v, 12v-10v, 19v-17v, 3.3v-0v, Vs-0v,Va-0v and 5v-5v

jump 470 resistors from standby to rl-on, m5-on and vs-on PS shutsdowns

Feel the problem is in the Vs &Va Section of PS But Any direction to solve this problem welcome

Are your fuses good on the sustains?

It does seem like you have a PSU issue. I found a few repair kits that might offer some clues of things to check:

Edit: Sorry, I just noticed that your board is different. I didn't realize they made a few different PSUs for this TV. They seem to be interchangeable, though.

You could try replacing the PSU, do more testing to try to fix this one, or see if there's a reputable repair service. The one thing that would make me do more checking in general is that the VS and VA voltages do come up to spec at some point.

Vs goes up to 230v is that normal or is that what causing the Power supply to shutdown

230V is much too high. 185V to 190V is typical for these supplies. Check your multimeter's battery is good. Also, check Va does not exceed 65V.

Vs reading 230v-259v and Va 66v-79v then Power Supply shutsdown, Any diagram for the Power Supply
Also New Meter and Battery

If Va is 79V, I would be seriously worried about the plasma panel itself surviving such extreme overvoltage. Check your multimeter battery.
