Yeah, that is a little odd. I'd still take the cheap gamble instead of trashing it right away.

Edit: I'd also look at the ribbon cable as a possible failure.

One other thing: Check your Vzb voltage on the Z-Sus to make sure it's correct. It should be somewhere around 100V (see the panel label). To check the Vzb (Zbias), place your negative lead on the chassis and your positive lead on collector of the transistor at location Q18.

well purchased a logic broad and still have the same problem. The Vzb is 99.2 volts.

Ah, that's too bad. I wonder if something upstream from the logic board, such as the main board, is causing the -Vy to drop.

I think it is something on the Y-sus broad. All the voltages coming into the Y-sus are fine. If I just could track down the schematic I could back track and see were the problem is occurring. Someone out there in the great WWW must have one.

Dell Inspiron 15 7567 (LA-D993P) - No power after replacing blown inductor and shorted mosfet advice needed
              by Reintar
First of all, I'd like to mention that I'm a novice when it comes to laptop repair, although I do have some experience with soldering.
One day, my laptop experienced a severe stutter, and after rebooting, it failed to boot into Windows. I decided to disassemble it and found that the PL900 component was blown. Later, I came across a post (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...error%E2%80%99) with the same problem, where...

Powersupply has all the voltages - Monitor still no power
              by Capacitorial
              Hello guys,

I have a Philips 240B7QPJEB. The monitor seems completely dead.
I opened it and measured the voltages of the powersupply. I found that a mosfet was dead and replaced it.
On the connector, that goes to the TCON board, all voltages 15-19V and 5V are present.
The small connector on the left of the PSU has two cables with 18V and all the other have 0.2V. It connects on this small connector on the left ontop of the panel. I guess the backlight? Seens fine I guess.
The weird thing is, that the Power LED is powered over the TCON board.
              On The TCON...

LG 47LB5DF blown power supply board
              by cmlewis89
              Hi folks,

I'm new to this forum. So my trusty 17-year-old LG 47" LCD recently died. As I was booting it up, I heard a hum followed by a loud bang, sounds of pieces flying around, and loss of power to the unit. Inspecting the PSU, I saw two obvious problems: a blown thermistor (bang + flung pieces) and a visibly bulging main cap. Inspecting as many components as I could with my Fluke MM, I diagnosed that the following components on the "hot side" of the board were also bad: one of the 2 main MOSFETs, main 8A fuse, small cap (25V 47uF) connected to main caps, and a blown...

AKAI APC Key 25 - Short, blown IC
              by meciu
              Hello everyboody.
I've got in my hands a defective AKAI APC Key 25.
Device does not react to connecting USB but Windows shows "Power surge on the USB Port" and motherboard cuts off power to all USB ports.

Disassembled the device and found short, and on 100% it is caused by the main IC - STM32 (see photo).

The IC can be replaced but it will be missing firmware and my question is - does anyone have a working FW Dump for this device?

              Thanks!...
