I've found out that RAM is getting about 0.3V instead of 1.2V (PL902), but I cannot figure out what causes the voltage drop.....

So yesterday I was looking for a help because of "black screen" issue after BIOS flash.
I was testing different BIOS/EC dumps found on the Internet, and I've made a big mistake..
After flashing bios & ec - I've plugged mainboard only (with attached radiator) to the power adapter, and after a 1 second saw a smoke coming from motherboard.
Quickly disconnected power-supply and then I saw tweezers touching PCIE bottom pins
The smoke came from burned N-MOSFET PQ809 (SM2404NSANC), replaced it with greater NX7002AK N-MOSFET...Last edited by SMDFlea; 08-10-2023, 03:46 AM. -

Issue: No display after BIOS upgrade
PC starts automatically after connecting power,
solid green led, solid red led (iluminates thinkcentre logo),
Fan spins,
No beeps,
CPU Replaced,
RAM Replaced,
SSD Disconnected,
Tried both video outputs (HDMI and DisplayPort),
Disconnected BIOS Battery,
Dumped original BIOS & EC, checked BIOS with MEAnalyzer - "Firmware is incomplete/corrupted"

AKAI APC Key 25 - Short, blown IC
Hello everyboody.
I've got in my hands a defective [URL="https://www.akaipro.com/apc-key-25"]AKAI APC Key 25[/URL].
Device does not react to connecting USB but Windows shows "Power surge on the USB Port" and motherboard cuts off power to all USB ports.
Disassembled the device and found short, and on 100% it is caused by the main IC - STM32 (see photo).
The IC can be replaced but it will be missing firmware and my question is - does anyone have a working FW Dump for this device?

BenQ EW3270ZL - no power.
Hi,
I've got in my hands a desktop monitor with no power syndrome - BenQ EW3270ZL.
Quick check-up:
-Blown 5A fuse (F3), replaced it temporary with standard tube fuse
-Shorted transistor AP6679GH (Q22), replaced it with IPD90P04P4-05
-Shorted MP2229 (U12), replaced it with a new one.
Board gets 19V, but still I can't power it up; aand this big IC "RTD2785R" is getting warm a bit.
So - is there any rescue possible for this board?

Almost half of leds aren't working correctly.
Question is - what kind of LEDs I need to look for.
I assume that I need to find LEDs in 4 pin PLCC package (5x3x1mm) but which one?
This led bar has two markings

Hey!
So starting yesterday - my old 24" LED display doesn't work well - device displays image but there is no backlight and I can hear hissing from power supply.
I've tested lcd 6pin power cable and here are the :
Black standby 0.4v power on 3.7v
Brown standby 0.4 power on 3.4v
Red standby 21.8v power on 28.9v
Red standby 21.8v power on 28.9v
Yelow stand by 0.4v power on 3.7v
Green stand by 0.4v power on 4.8v
Any ideas what's wrong with it?... -

Hey guys!
Maybe someone will help me with my problem.
I was testing new speaker till there was 'pop, bang & smoke' inside..
found shorted:
-diode D127 mainboard - replaced
-power transistors Q205FR Q206FR AMP board - replaced with equivalent MN2488 + MP1620 (did the same for the FL channel)
-resistor R218FR AMP board - replaced
now device is turning on without any problem, headphones output is working fine, but question is - why I don't get any sound on speakers?

HDMI chip replaced already and hdmi connector is in perfect condition!
as I mentioned before, will see if replacing some of this small components near hdmi will fix something
still waiting for 2nd board to arrive....
