I have a sony kdl-52wl135 here that has two problems... first problem is there is a faint greenish band of about 3 inches thick that runs vertical in the left side of the tv about a third of the way into the screen. This band has been here for quite some time but has been tolerable till now.
2nd problem is there are now many little vertical streaks in the screen spaced about every 1/4 an inch apart that only seem to be an issue when there is some form of an imput playing. If I go to a solid menu screen there are no signs of the streaks which tells me it has something to do with the transmission of live video content and not the screen itself?
If I could at least fix the later problem I would be content but if I end up opening up the tv to fix one problem may as well see about fixing both.
