I spoke to the shop I purchased the part from, and they have agreed to refund the money but suggested it is not worth fixing. They seems to think the screen itself has gone which is popping the board.

I agree. You're most likely looking at having to replace the Y-main, X-main, and Y-buffer. As I've stated previously with regard to these Samsungs, I always change out the Y-buffer when the Y- main fails. The buffers are usually fairly cheap, and I haven't found testing results to be reliable.Last edited by capkid; 07-01-2013, 05:27 PM.Comment

I may just keep the TV and source parts if and when they come up for a good price, Just seems a shame to break it as cosmetically in good condition.
I agree I can't see the screen causing these issues,
I might just get a new Y Main, X Main, Y buffer bit by bit, re-assemble and hope it works.Comment

Hi everyone,
Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.
Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.
I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue.... -

I just got a Samsung TV model HG75EJ690UB 75" and 4K
. It is a hotel TV, with a slightly different version of the Tizen operating system than the TVs at home.
Being a hotel, it is covered in many functions. With the service menu I can unlock some, but not others. For example, I can't install apps like Netflix etc...
The fact is that it seems that I can replace the main by a, say, "normal". I think the one that corresponds is NU7105, ref BN94-02635. At work, which is a convention center and a hotel, I have many TVs from 55" to 85" that... -
