So I'm looking to swap the plasma panels in these tv's. they are almost identical. But couple of questions. The upper and lower buffers are different. The screen has 10 tabs going to the buffers on the p50hdm and the other has only 8. I'm looking to swap the actual screen. Is this going to be possible. The p50hdtv10a works fine but the screen has a kinda multi colored line down the right side and its hard to see on some colors. And has some red dots on start up but go away after a while. This is a flip tv so I literally only have like 55 bucks into it. Should I just sell it like that condition or try the screen swap. The p50hdm I think needs upper and lower buffers and ysus cause it gets no picture but has audio. Let me know what y'all think.

It's very unlikely to work. How are you going to connect 8 connectors to 10 ribbons or vice versa?

i know the p50hdtv10a is a samsung and now that im looking at it the other is a lg. dang. now i gotta figure out wether i wanna fix the p50hdm i think it needs ysus and buffers. or should i say if i replace the ysus i would replace the buffers. Isnt that recomended cause if one of the ydrvtp or bt is bad, cant it hurt the new ysus board.Comment

and for me to get the p50hdm it has power and sound but no picture. im assuming the ysus. when you replace the ysus board dont you have to replace the buffers at the same time.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi.
picked up another TV. This time is a Vizio M65-C1. TV does not turn on. I had repaired another 60 inch vizio , Bad main board.
When power button is pressed, the Power led indicator on the bottom right, turns for a few seconds and then it fades away. No backlight or Vizio logo on screen. Removed back cover and repeated test.
This is the TV This TV is a little different from the Samsung I have worked on. Power supply is on the Left side, Main Bd is on the right side, T-CON , not in the picture is on the bottom. I am assuming that the boards in the middle are the LED... -

Failure Symptom
No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.
Where is the short?
Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.
