Panel model only applicable for main boards. Power boards just verify it was used in a 32" and that connectors are the same.

Tom is right, Most PSU's can be interchanged with slight varients as long as the output and connectors match.

All depends on if you want to repair the PSU is simply replace

I went ahead and got a board. $38 shipped. Version A. Fingers crossed that it will work. My model number is on the list of compatible versions so hope it works.

Hey newtothis. I'm going to have to run again but I will pick back up on this again later to learn and have a spare.

              CM853 is a 25V 1000uf

                schematic says 10v 2200uf

Id definately check all the caps against the schematic to make sure no others are incorrect.

Its no wonder the damn thing doesnt work!

can always repair the board and sell it reconditioned once working to pay toward the new one

This time I bet my life that changing the caps sorts it LOL

Manufacturers can change parts mid way through a run and often that is what leads to the difference between "A" and "B" boards. The design may have been found to work better with 25V 1000uF or vice versa.

                    Whoever did the replacement put 1000uf's in CB851, CM853, CM854, CM858, and CM859. And 2200uf's in CM851 and CM852

Tom would that many really be changed?

                        851 852 are marked up at 1000uf

sure the person repairing it didnt get mixed up somwhere?

seems like a lot of variables to change

Probably not. Any more than a few changes would most likely result in a new revision, e.g. "C".

OK I am still newtothis.. excuse the pun.... but from what I have learnt having a lower microfarad capacitor in way of those lines is probably the culprit for low power outputs, dont have enough capacitance?

Seems to fit with the output readings to me

Not usually - actually quite often you can get away with lower capacitance. The main problem is ESR, which is a different property. Generally though ESR is lower with higher capacitance, so you may sometimes see more capacitance than would be strictly necessary (with perfect zero esr caps.)

Ok so if the caps have a higher series resistance could this act in way of the lines creating lower outputs?

Yes, but from what I read they were talking about the button board, 3.3V is completely expected there due to the processor IO operating on 3.3V. Industry standard voltage 3.3V.

Update on this. Ordered one power supply which showed up dead (only had 10-11V coming out to the backlight inverter). Got a 2nd one and the set is up and running. I'm putting the old one in the junk box for now and my look at it more later if I have time. Too many other projects to deal with right now.

                                    Thanks as always,

                                        Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power...

I didn't have time and room to check it in summer so I plugged it in and now the standby light is on. I press button on remote, standby light goes off and tries to start?. No picture or backlight on LCD. I thought about removing diodes like in this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...sung-qled-q60r...

                                        Hey Everyone,

So I've got this Samsung and the reported issue is that when powered on the backlight comes on, but no picture, no sound, it will flicker, the standby light will flash red twice and repeat the whole process...each loop lasts about 15 seconds.

I've googled the issue and understand it is likely a panel/driver board issue, but was hoping the "tape method" could be successful. Before I did that though, I disconnected the left LVDS cable and powered the TV on. This time I got sound, no picture and the two blink standby light stopped. Did the same...

                                        Hello,

I've got a problem with a Samsung UE60KS7000 that was given to me and said that there was a problem with the One Connect box but as I understand the TV should turn on even with the One Connect box disconnected (which it doesn't). There is no stand by light.

I've disconnected the Main Board from the PSU and when connecting to mains the backlight turns on which suggests the PSU might be ok. I've measured the voltages out of the PSU and they seem reasonable (like the labels say). The main board has no obvious burns, there are no shorts on the power rails anywhere....
