    Black Lines on LG Plasma

I'm new to this forum and hoping someone can provide some guidance on a problem I'm experiencing with a LG 60PS60 plasma panel. Every other pixel row from top to bottom is black. Can't tell whether it's all even numbered lines or odd numbered, but one or the other is not working. Sometimes, when the set is first turned on all rows are working, but soon half of them disappear. Also on turn on, there is a period of a few seconds when all pixel rows have a dim brightness. LG techs say the panel is at fault. I'm wondering if some other assembly or connection in the set could cause this problem.

Samsung plasma 50" TV, model PN50C540G3F, has black horizontal lines
    by CyberNinja
First, the black horizontal lines even overlay the TV's menu. Does this behavior indicate that it's the plasma panel that's defective? If not for the black lines, the TV works just fine. I've cleaned the 6 connectors between the panel and the Y-buffer board, causing no change in the black lines. Visually, the 12 ICs on the Y-buffer look brand new (no holes, etc.). I put my fluke meter in continuity mode and tried to perform the "short" test on the 6 panel ports and found many shorts. But I don't think I'm doing the "short" test correctly and I'm hoping someone can provide guidance....

1/3rd of screen black with occasional vertical lines - repair attempt for learning! - Kogan KALED58RT9220SVA

Thanks for offering your assistance with this. I'm an electronics enthusiast with moderate level of competence (have a decent lab with two power supplies, microscope, DSO, hot air, good iron, can competently work at a component level on SMDs, design and solder own PCBs etc). I really enjoying fixing things and learning new stuff so took up a free 58" LED TV and have been googling and watching Youtube videos to see if I can fix this! I am happy to go down to individual component replacement/strip replacement etc - it's all in the name of learning.

The issues are as follows: the...

Sony KDL-50W685A horizontal black lines Pattern
    by Raulnn
good morning! I have a problem with this Sony. The image has a pattern of black horizontal lines, I attach a photo of the lines. The power supply is external and emits a sound. I don't think it's because of that. Let's see if someone can help me.
