    Sony KDL_52W5100 horizontal bar

Sony KDL_52W5100 horizontal bar, as picture shows, it's stable, no slow motion, the 3/4 of lower screen is darker then the 1/4 upper. I tried to check and press pressures on the TAB bond cables, no change.

I disconnected the left side of the t-con cable to the panel (the right side screen shows only, normal), the darker part looks not as serious as two t-con cable connected.
I disconnected the right side of the t-con cable to the panel, (it should show the left side of the screen), but only left half of that 1/4 upper has picture, others all black, this make me confuse, as right side t-con controls the right screen, the left side controls the left, but this this t-con is different?
The t-con part number is 52UN_MB3C6LV0.7
Wondering if bad panel or t-con problem.

I'm going to say tab bonds as I have seen before, even if you have checked them. If not, it's the panel.

Sony 8K XBR-75Z8H White Screen Vertical Bars Tcon Code. Help Needed🙏
      by Daren87
      Hello everyone,

I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the...

      Sony KD-55X9000F TCON Issue
      by thelankanguy
The TV shows a black screen with no image.
TCON ribbon connectors were disconnected individually for image and there was no half image even.
Later both ribbons were disconnected and TCON voltages were tested.
12V, 3.3V, 1.8V were seen present but VONE signal reads 0V.
There is also a short to ground in this circled inductor.
Is this a TCON issue or something else ?...

      Sony KD-55AG9 TCON?
      by bbrain
      Hi,

I have this problem with my Sony 55' AG9.
      It flashes 4x.
I have found the service manual, and seems it is the TCON.

Before I buy a TCON can someone check the vid?

      Thanks in advance!...

Slight flickering and horizontal stripes on the right side - VX24AH Asus
      by WillHoh
Hi, I have an Asus VX24AH monitor that suddenly went black and didn't display a logo when I switched it on. After extensive research (also thanks to this forum) I was able to get it to show a picture by disconnecting the STV (VSTB1). Unfortunately, the right side now shows horizontal stripes and it looks like every 2nd pixel row is missing.
Can anyone help me with this? Can it still be saved? I would also appreciate links and references to literature or other information.

Before disconnecting, the test point of VSTA1 and VSTB1 only measured 30 ohms. I therefore disconnected...

Sony KD-65x8500b - bad Tcon or panel?
      by rimwall
Hi, hoping for some views on this one which I've not come across before. The TV generates an image that has 12 noticeable bands across it. The image is still there and accurate, but the colour (or perhaps the brightness) changes gradually across each band which creates a noticeable 'step change' at the edge of each band. Given it's a 4K TV with 2160 rows of pixels, I'm guessing the 12 bands correspond to 12 gate drivers of 180 rows each. If this guess is right, then perhaps:
      a) all the gate drivers are malfunctioning the same way (which seems unlikely), or
      b) the Tcon board is malfunctioning,...
