So I might buy this tv a UN46D6000SF samsung 46 inch led. Guy says tv comes on no problem but picture fades to black after a minute but retains sound. Anyone know what the problem is. I'm trying to make sure its not the screen

No, but they contain individual LEDs so they are repairable... but, anyway, they probably aren't the fault. More likely panel IMO given the recent rash of them failing.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

hello again tom, well i was donated a un46d6000sf it has a darker area n the upper left side going downwards. i suppose its the led's in the back. will open it son to find out whats going on. I like the design of it and that is so damn thin.
got any sources for replacement LED's?Comment

you really want to remove one working LED and take it for comparison to have it matched.
LED's come in different sizes, voltages, colors and brightnessComment
