It looks like they drive it through a transformer, the small black square T6(?) in middle of board, so follow traces from that.

I think fuse done good job here and protect other components, otherwise current would go through resistors and blow them up.

Quite often in electronics repair I've often found the semiconductors have protected the fuse, rather than the other way around. But if you don't mind blowing more components up, don't make the tests. It's just a precaution.

So this transistors can be driven by SG3525A.

Ok. So I will get new SG3525A and mosfets. Thanks for your help.

Check resistors and components around the area. If you have a scope you can remove that coupling transformer and FETs, and test the SG3525 (set should power up w/o backlight.) The SG3525 should generate square waves going to the FETs.

Just put two new transistors and new fuse. TV back to life but there is another problem and looks like is related to first issue. TV turns on with backlight, but backlight is there only for few seconds. I think is time to look at bulbs in panel.
@tom66 do you know how to get into service menu in this TV?

You have 2 seconds to black. Does the red LED light up or not?
I'm not sure about service menu for this.

There is more than 2 seconds. It's 10-15 LED go red after when backlight go off.

Same idea. 2 seconds to black is the most common occurrence of backlight failure.

Try checking the BL ON/OFF signal is stable.

Also try with a video input signal, some TVs shut off with no signal.

                              Suspect C72, C73.
Check voltage across 450V capacitor. Should be close to 390V.

There is 310V when backlight is on and 315V when it's off.

Far too low. The PFC circuit is defective. Check the PFC diode is not shorted.

Hi, I was recently given a Bush Smart TV by a friend and the main board seems to be hanging on by a thread.

Before we get to that, my first obstacle was figuring out the model number since the back sticker has gone for a walk. Upon taking off the back case, I noticed the following Vestel parts, 17MB95m mainboard, 17IPS71 (what I'd assume is power supply) and a VES420UNVL-3D-S02 display panel. After doing some research I think the TV I have is a Bush ELED42240FHDCNTD3D, based on the matching image here (https://www.manualslib.com/manual/11...td3d.html#manu...

About a month ago we had a transformer jumper wire that burned in two different places between two transformers caused over $200 thousand dollars worth of damage to VFD drives at least 10 of them and a memory card and quite a few power supply as well

Now we have most of the equipment that got damaged back up and running except a feeder that has issues and we are waiting for some parts for

                                    Xbox One S - 12V Rail Short - Q9F1 Keeps Blowing
                                    by grimacelord
                                    Hello,

Have an Xbox One S here that has a short on the 12V power rail. There is no power, beep, or partial fan spin when connecting power cable.

After diagnosing with thermal camera, Q9F1 MOSFET (NTTFS4C50N) is getting hot. When I remove this MOSFET, the short on the 12V rail disappears.

I first replaced Q9F1 with one from a donor board and then partially reassembled the Xbox to test. When I plugged the power cord in, I got a partial fan spin and I thought I had fixed it, but unfortunately, the Xbox still did not power on. So I then disassembled the Xbox...

Dell XPS 8100 Motherboard VRMS keep blowing

I wanted to save this thing from E-waste ... I helped a neighbour with their Dell PC , it had a blown visably blown VRM causing a short on the 12V EPS ..

I replaced this VRM which fixed the short but, the high side VRM's keep blowing , seemingly the same two phases .. I replaced the low side mosfets on the respective blown phases . Though still the High side VRMS are blowing ..

After a few minutes one of the four phases will get extremely hot , then blow ..

I purchased replacement VRMS both High Side (72T02GH) and Low side (86T02GH). Pictured below , I just...

Need help identifying an IC chip on a Bush DAB radio (BD-1801)
                                    by tyler123456
                                    Hi,

Not sure whether anyone can help but I'm trying to identify the IC chip in the photo below.

I purchased a faulty Bush DAB radio (model # BD-1801) and identified that an IC chip was blown on it. Unfortunately, I couldn't read the manufacturer name / model number of the IC chip.

I purchased another (working) BD-1801 so that I could open it up to find out the IC details - but the IC chip details are missing (as you can see in the photo.)

Given the two huge blobs of solder either side of it I'm guessing it regulates power(?)

                                    Anyone...
