    Re: replacementvparts.com

I already started the Cb process but today i decided to call again and this time i got someone named Anthony and he told me he was a tech. When the call started i was angry but after a couple minutes i had calmed down because Anthony seems like a straight up guy.. He Is the only one so far that actually seemed to tell me the truth. He found my info immediately and confirmed the Memphis warehouse comment made by Jon but told me it was on back order till jan 31st and unlike the others he gave me the option of waiting or giving me a refund and put me on hold to answer the other line and the call got disconnected. BUT he called me right back within a matter of 1-2 minutes not once but 3 times we were disconnected and he immediately called me back . He even went on to discuss the issue with the TV and informed me that the reason these models go thru main boards like they do is because of the t-con board. he says the problem is because it is 120 hertz and a voltage regulator (or rectifier i cant remember which on) on the tcon shorts out and fries the main board so people replace the main board and it burns out again.he told me all i have to do is take an exact o knife and cut 1 of the legs off the regulator or rectifier and the TV will run on 60 hertz and have no more tcon/main board issues.H even offered to walk me through the whole process when i get my main board. Another surprise was during our conversation which was somewhere round 20-30 min long he was searching the web on his end to find a place that had the board in stock for me.He didn't find any distributor with the board but did find one on eBay from another seller and gave me the item number and issued me a refund. All in all it was a pleasant experience talking with Anthony and If my Refund hits on Monday or Tuesday depending on my banks timing then he may be their saving grace. Right now it shows refunded on my account on their website and on blue pay so now im just waiting to see it in my account.

I have never heard of cutting a leg on a rectifier to make a set run on 60Hz - tht sounds crazy and likely to result in a non functioning TV...

So... 1 transaction in that ended with a refund. Makes this a viable company? Its little bit of exposure on this thread speaks volumes.

              Re: replacementvparts.com

I did not say it was a viable company I spoke about Anthony in particular and I said he is alright with me he told me the truth on everything and he follow through on my refund I have read on here that other people have had refunds and not gotten their money back so I was just stating my experience thus far.

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
                  by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...

                  Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Apple M1 Boards & Exclamatory Error?
                  by ugamazing
We've now created a stack of 10 boards that have the same issue, which we suspect to be CPU-related. The issue is very simple--the board will not boot to anything, only showing the exclamatory sign inside a circle. No amount of DFU/restore, wipe/erase, etc, will resolve the issue. No boards have physical damage. We went ahead and replaced the SSD nands on two boards (one 02020, one 02016) and the issue remained exactly the same. We are considering replacing the CPU on one of the boards using a locked CPU, just so we can see if it resolves the issue.

Has anyone else run into this...

Best place to source RAM chips? 8GB 820-00850 boards to 16GB or 32GB
                  by ugamazing
I'm looking to upgrade several 8GB 820-00850 boards to 16GB or 32GB for personal use. I am curious what the best practice and process is for sourcing new replacement chips, and what vendor(s) you guys prefer? Another question is, how do I find compatible chips and their corresponding part/model numbers? For example, in the 820-00850 schematic, the DDR chip U2600 model listed (EDFB232A1MA) corresponds to 1x32GB chip. Of course, I would need 4x8GB chips to replace the 4x2GB chips currently on the board. How do I find compatible 8GB chips? Is it as simple as searching "BGA178 8GB 2133"...

Legion 5 PRO, 3 boards, same problem, NM-D562 Rev. 3.0 motherboard
                  by hopkok
Hi friends, last week I got 3 same boards for repair (NM-D562 Rev. 3.0), same problem, power button light up, but motherboard wont start.

3,3V_alw and 5V_alw, 1,8V_alw and 0,75V_alw presented on all 3 boards, no other voltages. 1,2V missing and if I checked schematic right, I need 1,2V and than can be +3VS and +5VS generated after getting SUSP_N signal from KBC? or vise versa?

I checked for low resistance on coils, no low resistance.

Anyone with same issue like me?

                  Thanks for any help.
