    32MF338B blank!

    I'm familiar with this situation. Turn on TV. Power light comes on. Brief display on screen then blank again. Generally seems to be an inverter issue. Many times it's simply bad caps, and sometimes a couple transistors.

    Looking at the board, it has dark burn spots on the component side. Flipping over the power supply board I find what appear to be regulators coinciding with each of the burn marks. No caps appear to be bad.

    I'll get up pictures tonight, but wanted to see if anyone else has experience with this unit.

              Greetings everyone,


              I have a HANNSG Hi221 monitor that exhibits two seconds to black issues (backlight goes off, display is still on as confirmed by shining a flashlight on it) with some additional oddities...


              The monitor failed on me with a standard "2 seconds to black" some time ago prompting me to initially replace most of the electrolytic capacitors (some of them were bulging/leaking).
              Things kinda sorta worked for a night, then the problem returned along with some flickering and "buzzing" noises.

              Upon closer inspection...

              Eventually discovered a burn mark near lower corner of LCD. Here is a summary
              • Backlight on, no image
              • Disconnect right buffer board (view from front), left side display comes on
              • Masked off pin 7+8 (both ~12,5v on both left and right buffer board) from t-con to right buffer board (view from front) display works but have some lines
              • Buffer board is pretty simple
              Removed the front bezel to examine edge of the glass. Found burn mark on lower right (view from front). Plastic bezel covering the burn mark region shows heat signature on the inside surface facing the LCD panel. Last 2 pics. Bright...

              CH341a can erase and read but can't write and blank check

              So I am trying to repair broken thunderbolt FW on X1 Yoga Gen 2. The EEPROM chip is WINBOND 25Q80DVNIG. I already do a back-up and erase. But when I try to wrote new FW, it was successfull, but when I tried to read it, it still blank. when I try to do a blank check, it gave me instant error in address 0. I already tried two CH341A, already did the 3.3v fix mod, using AsProgrammer, NeoProgrammer, Colibri, and CH341A 1.29. But the problem still occurred. What I did wrong here? Can anyone help me?               Hi,

              Found an Funai 32FL553P/10 TV on sale for cheap listed as broken, so I decided to give a shot at reparing this.

              State I got it in:
              Squealing from the PSU
              After logo I get a blank screen
              After 10 seconds of having a blank display w/ backlight the TV dies
              Give it 7-10ish seconds again and it starts to bootloop.

              What I did so far:
              Replaced all the caps on the PSU (apart from primaries, they were fine and none at hand)
              Checked all voltage rails:
              5VSB - 4.8V
              AMP+13V - 14.4V
              13V - 12.98V (in manual 12V)...

              Hanns.G Hi221 Monitor - Works For A Second & Then Blank Display

              I've got a Hanns.G Hi221 Monitor that works for a moment and then the display goes off but the power LED indicator remains on. If you power it off and back on again it does the same thing, it comes on and then the display goes blank. From a cold start it takes 10 seconds or so before the display goes blank but if you turn it off and then back on again after it already being on it goes blank a lot quicker so I'm assuming something is getting hot which is causing the display to go off.
