Sylvania ld195ssx stuck in service mode

    All,

Just found a Sylvania (Funai ?) ld195ssx that powers up automatically into what looks like a service mode. It cycles through multiple colors and does not respond to any key combos. I looked through the sticky for reset codes and googled my heart out but found nothing that will exit the service mode. BTW, I am without a remote. Wondering if I can use a universal remote programmed for Sylvania or do I have to have the factory issued remote?

    Thanks,

    aaron

Re: Sylvania ld195ssx stuck in service mode

One answer found :"Press the Cursor up button followed by the Cursor down button on the remote. This will take you back to the root service menu. Then power cycle the unit in order to return to normal operational mode."
In a transistor circuit protected by a fuse, the transistor will always blow to protect the fuse.

Dell XPS 8940 | Manufacturing Mode? | No Service Tag
      by AustinCER
Hello, I currently have a Dell XPS 8940 in our office for repair.
      Service Tag: HG1Y673
The most recent BIOS is pictured below -- being available as an .exe on Dell website.

Needed a new motherboard due to power surge. The motherboard replacement was installed and upon power up it was booting to a display message - Manufacturing Mode Active -

Have not dealt with this issue before or what the proper steps are. I booted to the BIOS and manually entered the Service Tag, but upon each reboot -- the service tag is wiped and shows the Manufacturing Mode display message,...

HP x360 Chromebook 14A-CA, DA00GIMB6H0 REV:H, flooded, restored, slow and stuck in tablet mode
      by modtool
      Dear colleagues,
I've entered the repair of the chromebook machines just one month ago and I've found some significant differences from the classic laptops or macbooks, so I'm searching some advices.

The owner of this chromebook gave it to me after it has been left flooded by water for almost a week, so chances of repair were not so high, the mainboard was oxidyzed in many spots but I made a nice cleaning, resoldering and component replaging work and now it is almost working.

Among other things I've cleaned many spots from oxyds, reballed CPU, EMMC, EC, replaced...

Dell T7820 stuck in Bios Recovery Mode
      by The_Memory_Guy
      HI,

I have a Dell T7820 stuck in Bios recovery mode. I never get Dell Boot screen or anything visible on screen. The system just gives me 3 white lights and 3 orange lights indicating Bios recovery mode.

What I have tried to get to recover the Bios, there seems to be some conflicting advice about recovering the system.

All of them say to download the latest bios from the dell website which is a .exe file. I have done that

      PS5 | CFI-1215A | EDM-030 | Stuck In Safe Mode 99% Processing
      by grimacelord
      Hello,

I have a CFI-1215A PS5 (EDM-030 board) here that won't boot normally. It currently will immediately boot into Safe Mode upon power button press with a screen that says "Processing" and then a progress bar that usually begins around 75-84% and slowly climbs up to 99% where it will hang forever. The console will not ever escape past the 99% mark.

      Things I have tried:

      1. Tried force booting into Safe Mode by pressing and holding power button for 2 beeps so I could use a reinstallation USB, but the console still boots into Safe Mode with the...
