Hitachi L32HP01 No menu in DTV

    Hi

Just donea repair on this set (17pw20v2) I replaced it with a 15-9 I know that is working and shows all correct voltages

Everything works apart from when you select DTV the screen is blank and the only buttons that work on the remote are volume and stereo, turn it back onto analogue tv and I can get into the service menu

I did a factory reset and now the menu headers have gone all odd and funny colours

    Any ideas folkes

The DTV board requires a 12V supply is that connected?
Have you made sure the LVDS from the DTV is connected?
Check the voltage regulators on the DTV board.

Note, on these Vestels, the DTV board handles all of the input except those two keys (plus the power I think.) So you do not get any response from those as the DTV board is not processing them.

Cheers Tom, the digital board had a slightly bulged cap on it so replaced that and checked voltages.

11.11v getting to the board but the VR's are showing diddly squat, the board in question is 16mb1300-1, just had a look on flebay and they are going for £4-£5 so for that money I may aswell take the risk, it takes away the hours of pain chasing a fault on these Turkish Delights

Thanks again will let you know if the new board repairs it

Check LCD panel sticker - CHIMEI, Samsung, CHUNGWHA etc. Change LVDS setting to match in service menu.
11.1V is too low for 12V too!

Cheers Tom changed it to the correct panel but no luck, changed the lvds mode to off and the main menu has come back but still only a third of the screen showing very distorted

Sorry just seen your edit, would 0.9v make the screen screw over like this?? and is this why the VR's on the digital board are struggling

If 11.1V is too low, you probably also have low 5V and 3.3V.

To be honest Tom 3.3v and 5v were spot on, but you know already how awful and odd some of these bloody faults are on this range of pw's I hate them with a passion, just glad it is all sorted else I would of thrown every other board at it and been no better off :o)

But thank you so much again

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                      Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

                      Hi everyone,

I’m looking for help with a persistent issue on an LG TV model 55NANO77SRA, which uses the main board EBU66792103 (also used in LG UQ80 and NANO75/NANO80 series).

                      🧩 Problem Summary:
                      • The TV keeps scrolling through the menu or selecting items by itself.
                      • I removed the physical button board (the entire panel with power and volume buttons) and also disconnected the flat cable (CN202) from the main board.
                      • The remote control is not in use (batteries removed), and the TV still shows the same behavior.
                      • I

                      by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
                      • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
                      • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Help finding the correct model of a T-Con board on my Hitachi TV
                      by sotodefonk
Hi, I have a Hitachi tv model L47V651, there is no image, but sound and backlights turn on, so I believe the issue is the tcon board.

I opened the tv to access the board and took the shared pictures of the T-Con board.

I saw a video from shopjimmy on how to detect the model number on tcon boards, but this doesn't have a sticker like how that video showed all boards.

I searched the P/N number and got results with the same marking name and P/N my board has but they list other specific tv models like Vizio and Philips brand but not Hitachi.

                      Inspecting...
