smd fuse question
Hi
Before anyone shouts at me I know how important it is to get the correct fuse rating, but yesterday I got hold of a samsung with a back light fault, after stripping it down I found that it looks like it has had fluid damage as there was rust and tell tale signs on the top of the inverter, plug 1 was melted to the connector and the smd fuse had blown.
I cleaned everything up and replaced the fuse, the original fuse was 3.15a 74v, I have only got 3a 63v fuses available so fitted one and the TV was playing away fine for 2 hours, it then packed up again.

Re: bn4400261b or main board fault
Hi
Just plugged the TV in and it is now responding to the side buttons and remote, so I did a master reset
"press exit for 12 seconds"
"press "left""
"Press Enter"
Now I have done the reset that bloody annoying turn on sound has come back, and I can see OSD but not a blink from the backlights not even the flash and shut down.
Any pointers please

Re: bn4400261b or main board fault
Cheers Tom, just one worry, when you disconnect the main from the ps/inverter shouldnt the backlights do their two seconds and shut down??
If so they dont :o(...

Re: bn4400261b or main board fault
0v with main board connected 1.51v disconnected
I should add that the standby light is solid and not doing anything when pressing side buttons, if I remember rightly when you plug samsungs in the standby light starts flashing, but I may be wrong

bn4400261b or main board fault
HI
I have a Samsung LE32b530 and it is not coming out of standby.
Downloaded the schema from another forum post(thanks Tom) and checked all the likely suspects ie fets fuses cold joints, all ok
If I power up the tv with the main disconnected I get
on/off = 1.51v
inv on/off = 2.09v
As soon as I plug the main board back in both these voltages go to zero
The 5.3 pin stays constant with main plugged in or out at 5.24v
Any ideas, could this be a main or a psu/inverter fault

Re: Hitachi L32HP01 No menu in DTV
To be honest Tom 3.3v and 5v were spot on, but you know already how awful and odd some of these bloody faults are on this range of pw's I hate them with a passion, just glad it is all sorted else I would of thrown every other board at it and been no better off :o)
But thank you so much again

Re: Hitachi L32HP01 No menu in DTV
Cheers Tom, the digital board had a slightly bulged cap on it so replaced that and checked voltages.
11.11v getting to the board but the VR's are showing diddly squat, the board in question is 16mb1300-1, just had a look on flebay and they are going for £4-£5 so for that money I may aswell take the risk, it takes away the hours of pain chasing a fault on these Turkish Delights
Thanks again will let you know if the new board repairs it...

Hitachi L32HP01 No menu in DTV
Hi
Just donea repair on this set (17pw20v2) I replaced it with a 15-9 I know that is working and shows all correct voltages
Everything works apart from when you select DTV the screen is blank and the only buttons that work on the remote are volume and stereo, turn it back onto analogue tv and I can get into the service menu
I did a factory reset and now the menu headers have gone all odd and funny colours
Any ideas folkes

Warning: Be careful on Gumtree
Hi
I just thought I would let you all know as I have been caught 3 times now, if you are looking to buy faulty TV's from Gumtree or any other classified ad's then be warned of people with adverts along the lines of
"Moving Abroad" "Moving House" "No longer needed" the advert will have a number starting 070, DO NOT RING THEM, they will not pick up the phone and you can be charge between 55p and £1 for the connection, the minimum is 55p and it will show up on your bill, I have just been clobbered £7 on my phone bill, I know its not a...

Re: Lg 37lg30
If it was me and the board was the same part number and all the connections are correct...taking more importance to the tcon connection/ribbon (they move them about/change them panel dependent) then I would buy the board, if it doesnt work send it back for a refund, one of your links states they accept 14 day returns.
I dont think I have every ordered a 'LG main' before with the same part number/connections and it didnt work...the only thing you do notice is when you go into the service menu options it has a different model number...defo no love lost there...

Re: Goodmans LD3265D2
When you say different ratings do you mean voltage or farads ie
Have they put 35v where 25v have been or have they put 220uf where 470uf's should go...
