Re: troubleshooting Rapitron LCD TV models
You need to specify more... model numbers, who made it (probably not Rapitron but some OEM) ...etc.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Hello
I'm troubleshooting a dead Sony XBR-65X810C.
I was able to find a service manual from one of the posts here.
I was able to get through the steps highlighted in yellow, but need some help with next steps. See attached Picture.
Next step says:
Check OPWRSB
R9179 Voltage.
Is the voltage 0V?
and one after says:
Check STBY_MHL
R9176 Voltage.
Is the voltage >3.0V?
These are referring to the same resistor, what does OPWRSB and STBY_MHL stand for?
I measured voltage on both ends of that... -
by blues_spiritHello from France,
mon2 kindly advised me to post a thread to ask the question(s) I'm concerned about. I'm new to the forum and I'm looking for practical courses for troubleshooting pc motherboards especially laptops in Europe, if possible in France. I have been a computer network system administrator and a corrector of administration modules for automated programs under Unix. But I really miss the practical "ops" side of troubleshooting. So I would like to start from the beginning: 1.8V, 3.3V, 5V and 19V tests for example, etc...
Do you think this is feasible for me? I... -
by androriparaHello everyone,
i am trying to repair a Sony KDL-55HX820 led TV which is throwing error code 4 (standby led flashing four times).
I followed the troubleshooting flowchart at page 69, and between pin1 and pin7 of CN6002 i am reading 1.91V so i guess i can rule out the B Board as the culprit.
Before ordering new G* Boards (by the way, should i change both? it is not specified in the manual) i wanted to try and do more advanced troubleshooting since i've read in other threads people resolving their problems on the 46/55 HX 820/823/825 models by replacing the Samsung led... -
by R7027In the service manual for Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F), step number four in the flow chart for troubleshooting power-on issue is to check the voltage level of a "signal".
I had a very hard time locating this. I didn't understand what it means to check for voltage of something by its signal name, and it's location was not described in the service manual (not that I could see in my four chapter excerpt of the complete manual). Then I learned that this signal name needs to be translated into a test point (TP) ID on the board. This is unlikely to be referenced in a service... -
by GrouickmanHi there,
First, I'm not sure it's the right section to post for this type of device, but could not think of something better.
Ok, so my son (a mechanic) bought a faulty Hofmann Geodyna 6300 wheel balancer (which appears to be mostly a re-branded Snap-on wheel balancer).
I'm looking for any resources (doc, manuals, schematics) that would be available for this device or anyone that would have any knowledge on this particular device (or its Snap-On equivalent).
I'm trying to diagnose the fault(s ?), but I can't find any schematic (appart from the... - Loading...
