    Bush BPDP42HD2

    Hi All,

New to Forum, I wonder if anyone can help me with the above model Plasma.
It is a Bush in name only and has Samsung everything else,

This is the first Plasma I have looked at ,done a couple of LCD's
    power supply's , but manly CRT's.

History bought without picture , Traced fault to short Y buffer taking out Y main and X main.

Picture back on but everything on screen to the Right programs Menu's Graphics

Set VA, VSC and VS to spec but no change only thought left Logic board.
    Pictures follow

The plasma panel is likely defective. It is a common issue with these Samsung panels.

Likely that line is what took out the buffer in the first place. Yes newer single-pane-of-glass Samsung panels suffer from this a lot.

When I first put it back together, there was a large black bar and about 10 lines underneath it, it looks a lot better now.

          Apart from the central issue.

Do Samsung LCD's, suffer the same sort of Failures.

Yes, though typically more vertical lines, their plasmas have horizontal (like yours) and vertical line failures.

That's nice to hear you fixed the line, it's rare to find that to be a loose connection so you got lucky.

                    Hi
Can I ask you when you had your no picture problem where you getting the correct voltage at test points Vs 207. Va 55 ? Its just I have same model & i'm not getting Vs & Va voltage ( when I first turn on it measure correct for a second) The only voltage's i'm getting are the D15v on cn804 & the voltages on cn802 Disconnecting y& z bds does make a differance

                      I had something similar with a 42B456.....

Some dumbo had changed the panel-options in the engineer menu to a 19" LCD!

Correcting that, and everything was restored to normal.
