Help needed please!!Asus X55A-SX119H display problem
Hi there, need a little help
I have a Asus X55A-SX119H with the B830 cpu. https://www.asus.com/Notebooks/X55A/specifications/
When i power it on it shows the asus logo then goes blank, the back lights are working you can see the screen lit up, the hard drive light comes on for about 30 secs & the cd works. But i am unable to access bios or any boot menu, if i attach a external monitor i get a total blank screen not even the logo. I was thinking it could be the bios but the battery charging led works & hd led & cd spins. If its not the bios could it be a graphics...

Ms1951F001 TV/DVD Intermitent power
Can anyone give me some help in solving power issue ?
The problem is it is totally dead but when I took out PS to see if their was any noticeable damage (which there was none) & re-soldered a few dodgy looking joints I tried it & it worked for a few hours. I switched it of & now it is acting dead again with no power lights showing. I'm getting ac into the PS & 300V from Big cap just no 12vdc at connector to main board (I get a reading which jumps between 1.8-2.2vdc.) all the caps look ok & have checked diodes.
any help would be great thanks...

Re: No picture Bush BPDP42HD2
I still get same readings when x&y boards are unplugged. (The way its designed I can't just plug x bd in to see if I get sound)
If the problem was there wouldn't the voltages go up when unplugged ?
could the logic board affect those voltages vs & va ?
thanks for replyLast edited by Giff1711; 02-20-2014, 10:07 AM.

No picture Bush BPDP42HD2
Hi
My problem His no picture the tv powers on and will even goto sleep after being left on. But when I test for correct voltage at test points Vs 207. Va 55 I get nothing (Except when I first turn on it measure correct for a second) The only voltage's i'm getting are the D15v on cn804 & the voltages on cn802.
Disconnecting y& z boards does not make a difference. I have tested the diodes and all off the transistors bar one which seems to be a Off-Line SMPS Current Mode Controller with integrated 650V CoolMOS and Startup cell (frequency jitter Mode) in FullPak . I noticed...

Re: Identifying Component Help needed
Sorry about pictures they were a picture of a picture which was taken with a low res camera tried to get as clear has possible.
On my board the chip had destroyed its self so was only left with bits rattling around the case the rest was a blob melted to the board. I'm pretty sure there where bits of wire in the debrie though ? You could be right. I just don't get the markings (PF 7R0)
If it is a inductor 7uH do you know of a part No or compatable one it has 4 contact pads & is about 3mm in size ?
Any help would be great...

Re: Identifying Component Help needed
The markings are worn off. From what i can make out ?13 the first letter could be a L13 which would make it an inductor right. But in that case shouldn't the chip markings be 7uH opposed to pf 7R0 ?

Identifying Component Help needed
Hi
Can anyone confirm for me that this is a power inductor ? It has the markings PF 7R0.
(see pic) Its the one directly behind dc jack PF 7R0
Whats baffling me is the markings. Shouldn't it have a rating in henrys not resistance ?
The component had melted onto the board,So there was nothing left to identify the chip or test. I've managed to get a picture of the board [Fujitsu Siemens Amillo Pro LM7W+] with the chip needed.
Any help...
