It would appear low to me as well. As many plasmas I have touched 115v makes no sense.

And the guide shows 115 as the set voltage for +VSC

I'm really starting to think I received a bad module. I would just pull it and replace it but its such a pain to do.

Thinking just found my issue. On the sus up pin for the sus out ipm. It's not making connection to the board. Either the resistor inline loosened up or the trace is broken. Have to partially remove the ipm to inspect further but I'm not getting a connectin with my dvm reading.. Wish me luck

That could easily cause your problem.

Fixed!! Yep that was it. Weak solder job on the 18v pin input on sus ipm. Hey thanks alot Tom for your help and the diagram. I really appreciate it! Now if only I can get the screen wash to take care if the letterbox format someone obviously watched its whole life. Hmmmm nice when there darker in the middle. Oh well.

On another note I dialed down the -vy to 184v instead of factory 200 and adjusted ramp up and down to alleviate some red sparkles.

              Re: Vizio p50hdm dim screen

It's obvious now that the screen was lighting up somewhat from the power the zsus was putting into energizing the cells. The vscan was there to energize the buffers so hence I had a picture that was uniform. There just was no positive voltage driving the screen hense the sustain voltage which was the factor. The ipm's on the ysus were not charged due to the loss of the 18v signal. The reason they sounded like they were powered and got lightly warm is cause the backfeed from the zsus modules feeding into the ysus modules through the panel. So rule of thumb for anyone replacing ysus modules. Check your 18v line

A plasma display works by using AC voltage to make the pixels sustain (emit light.) If you only have one polarity on the common side (Z-sustain) you'll get insufficient light emission. If you are missing Vzbias you will get a cloudy or purple tint to the image. There's nothing about "lack of power" about the dim image, it's just the panel's not being driven right. The reason you don't see a similar effect with a bad Y-sus is the panel can't prime and load an image in without the Y-sus.

Vizio TV M50-C1 reboot cycle and static on screen
                    by spice_disc
I'm currently trying to diagnose and fix my Vizio TV (Model M50-C1). I've tried a number of different basic solutions, but I'm trying to determine if my issue is currently a failing panel, T-Con board, or main board (or something else entirely) and whether or not it is worth my time to fix it. Details of the issue and what I've tried are below as well as why I think it is either a bad panel, T-Con board, or main board.

The Issue: The TV will be on and working fine but after the TV is on for ~5-10 minutes the screen will freeze (with sound continuing) until the TV reboots itself. While...

samsung galaxy ao2s very temperamental after screen replaced
                    by Chrissygizmo
Hi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...

The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                    by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

ThinkPad P15s Gen 1, NM-C931 REV 1.0 touch screen replaced only works in UEFI menu
                    by Yehuda170
original screen was BOE NV156FHM-T07 with On-Cell Touch screen I²C

replaced with what was in my stock, which is IVO R156NWF7 R2 which is also with On-Cell Touch screen I²C

now touch screen works perfectly in UEFI BIOS menu & boot menu. but not working in OS, tried windows & linux too

with original broken screen i can see in device manager touch screen in human interfaces

but with the new screen it's not showing in device manager

is it lenovo blocking it? is it driver missing?

                    I²C is a headache

Macbook Air M2 A2681 Kernel panics after screen replacement
                    by reformatt
Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...
