    Samsung HPT5064 Issue

    Hello.

    Have a friend, Samsung HPT5064 50" Plasma TV, started out with a sound no picture issue. His young ones kept power cycling the TV thinking that some "magic" was going to take place and it was going to "fix" itself and suddenly be working.

    Well, now, it is just going thru a series of clicking, but, will not start. No program sound, just this clicking.

    None of the caps on the Power Supply board "look" bad, but, I know this is not a reliable indicator.

    Should we recap the PS and see if we can make the original problem reappear?

    I tried unplugging both Sustain boards from the PS board to see if maybe there was an overload condition on one of those that was making the PS board relays click click click.

      It sounds like a possible PSU problem. Good close up pictures will help a lot. What brand caps are they?

              After installing Linux, I can no longer enter the BIOS of my Samsung Series 9 (NP900X3C) laptop. When pressing [F2] during boot I simply get a black screen. Same thing when pressing [F10] and choosing "Setup" from the "App Menu" tab.               Hello,
              I'm having an issue with the Samsung 740n's phase control setting. When I use the automatic adjustment, it sets the value to around 54 (with a range of 0-100), and the picture looks clear and sharp. However, after some time—like after playing a game—the text starts to look blurry. When I auto-adjust again, it may increase the value to 80, and everything becomes sharp once more. Yet, after a while, whether it's a few hours or a day later, the same blurriness returns, and I have to adjust it again.

              I'm using the Samsung 740n monitor drivers instead of the default plug-and-play...

              Hello.

              My TV is a QE65Q800TATXXC Samsung TV.

              Issue : When you plug the 220V, voltages are OK on the power board and you can hear the click from the relay, but TV is not starting when power button is pressed. Red led is blinking when you press power button. But no images or sound ( Back-light is off )
              Then if you disconnect the cable from the main board to the power supply, the TV back-light turns on.
              Any ideas to check would be very appreciated 😊

              After reading some posts on this forum, I suspect an eeprom issue so I bought a CH341A to dump...

              I purchased a used Samsung TV model UA65JS9000W recently knowing it had an issue with the screen. When switched on the picture was bright both sides of the screen but a little darker in the middle of the screen. Thinking this was the back lights (side mounted LCD strips) I replaced these, however the issue is still there. I am now thinking it may be a TCOM issue, but am not sure, any advice on this would be appreciated. Also whilst changing out the back lights I noticed the the thick clear plastic sheet (maybe 1.5 to 2mm thick) below the diffusers there is cracking (up to 75mm) on the sides and...
