LG MZ-42PM13 Grainy picture with quick fading in/out

Hello you all very kind people , i have LG plasma TV MZ-42PM13 with faulty screen. I guess that this is maybe not screen failure, rather than electronic curcuit. TV shows last seen screen (when it was working good), from CCTV cameras. Picture is grainy and it flashes in and out randomly. I have never repair plasma tv so please forgive me my lack of knowledge .

If someone have met with such failure from LG plasma tv and want to share with me solution to fix him i will be very grateful .

    Cheers

    Thomas

The "last image" is probably due to burn in, which will not be repairable. The phosphors on the panel have been permanently damaged.
However, you may be able to fix the dim image; in this case, it's probably the Z-sus.

Trying to Save - LG 60PH6700 60-inch plasma HDTV - Powers ON but no picture
      by KYBOSH
Saved this beast from the landfill this weekend.
      Manfactured July 2013 in Mexico.

I love working on plasma TVs.
Its been a while but I was lucky enough to find 2 this week.

The TV powers on and stays on but no picture. Havent checked for sound yet.
No bulging caps although the insides are pretty dusty and the boards are discolored from many years of high heat.
      Will start troubleshooting tonight.

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)
      by Tr0ll
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

      Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

      First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
      by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

      Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

LG 60PC1D-UE plasma tv grainy picture dark scenes good picture light scenes
      by shelby5041
hi i have a lg plasma tv that powers on fine and has a great picture and sound but after 15-30min parts of the picture start going grainy

if i split the tv screen up in 10 sections horizontally with 1 being bottom and 10 being top ...i would say the 2 groups of areas that go grainy are section 9 thru 10 and section 2 thru 5

but the odd thing is that both groups areas go grainy off and on...but both at the exact same time on and off

and when the image on the screen has a lighter background the grainy picture areas 9-10 and 2-5 goes away...

      Sony KDL-65W855C mirrored, fading picture
      by mrsith
      Hi, me again.

Grabbed that Sony with 6 blinking lights. Easy job, especially that I had LED set. Replaced them, upon reinstalling everything and doing test I was shocked. The picture is upside down and mirrored. There is some fading effect on one side (4th TV in a row with backlight problem that turned out to have this issue as well...), and there are 2 black vertical bars. Touching side and bottom tabs doesn't produce any change at all.
The LEDs were taken from kdl-x857c, basicay same model. I transferred screen to its chassis to save time, but just in case of any incompatibility...
