    Vizio LED TV possible purchase

    I have found this TV and I know that Budm had this issue in the past and it wasn't fixable, due to corrosion on the tab contacts.
    I don't have a model number yet.
    Here is what it states:
    "I have this 42" Vizio LED TV as stated above. I spilled water on the front of it and now the picture is messed up.
    Hazy picture and solid white lines going through the display."

      Any water damage on newer panels is catastrophic.

          You could ask the seller if the liquid was spilled on the screen, or over the top of the unit. If it was spilled over the top of the unit it might have got in a vent and just killed the tcon, but more likely from the errors its giving, it leaked down the front and corroded some panel IC's. Either way i wouldnt spend more then 30 dollars including gas for it cause youd most likely only be able to recoup that by selling any good boards / LED strips.
          Fixed so far 12 lcd's , 1 plasmas, 5 monitors, 0 dlp's (plan to keep the dlps at 0). and 3 atx power supplies, and 2 motherboards.

              I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

              Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

              I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

              The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

              With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Hi! I have an old Acer Aspire One Netbook ZA3 model running Windows XP. It's many years old and all that we've ever used it for was to run iTunes for our show sound system. It's always been great for this purpose. Anyway, long story short, I spilled water in the keyboard before a show, couldn't shut it down as we needed it for our music, tipped it upside down, dumped as much water out as possible, shook it, blew on it, etc. and it basically worked fine except for the keyboard. No function at all but the netbook worked fine for many years using a mouse. Lately, the mouse is starting to not function...

              Hi.

              picked up another TV. This time is a Vizio M65-C1. TV does not turn on. I had repaired another 60 inch vizio , Bad main board.
              When power button is pressed, the Power led indicator on the bottom right, turns for a few seconds and then it fades away. No backlight or Vizio logo on screen. Removed back cover and repeated test.
              This is the TV This TV is a little different from the Samsung I have worked on. Power supply is on the Left side, Main Bd is on the right side, T-CON , not in the picture is on the bottom. I am assuming that the boards in the middle are the LED...
