Cap Identification help. Vizio E470VL main board cap

Having trouble identifying this buldging cap.
    07
    470
    EZD

I can't find the schematic for the board.
I saw a pic on here of the same board with this cap that was marked
    0P
    470
    EZD

Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

Re: Cap Identification help. Vizio E470VL main board cap

I can't tell who made the capacitor from the color combination.

BUT, Panasonic and other manufacturers use the following codes for voltage rating:

      Letter Voltage
      e 2.5
      g/G 4
      j/J 6.3
      A 10
      C 16
      D 20
      E 25
      V 35
      H 50

So your capacitors is most likely a 470uF 25v capacitor. And the ZD might be the series but I don't think it's Nichicon ZD.

ps. And the ones with C at the beginning of the three letter code might be rated for only 16v.

Looks normal to me -- the vent will appear to split if cap is actually failed.

It's bulging up pretty bad. The vent marks are actually pushed out.

          Thanks. I think I'll go with a 470uF and I might just go with a 50V.

I've seen new from the packet caps look just like that. You should use two soldering irons, or a hot air station. One iron only will rip off the pad.
