Hi where could i get a service manual for this set ? onei 26av400 (17pw26-4 v.1 vestel),very very similar to budget makes alba/bush.
The symptoms are no screen or sound,blue light when plugged in,switch it on.you get blue flashing continues light and even after you have pulled the plug,carries on for a bout one minute.

OK, on this chassis, test SMPS diodes for shorts.

So test the diodes on the vestel board,I did change the start up caps but no change,I have looked at these diodes what no description on these to get replacements ?

If you find a bad one, then we can help you source a replacement. First you need to test them. Do you know how to test a diode? Do you have a multimeter?

Yes have a multimeter,don't know much about using it tbh,take it you test these diodes when the set is on ?

Test while it is off and unplugged.

I already did so for the same power supply in one of your other posts. But here it is again. Just tell me what the readings are. Also, you NEED to make your pictures clearer -- I do not have this board in front of me!

Cheers Tom,the diodes that are screwed in they have three prongs ? Do you miss the middle one out when testing.

No, test all six pin combinations: 1-2, 2-1, 1-3, 3-1, 2-3, 3-2.

Thanks,set my multimeter to the 'ohms' but how high in the settings,I did say my multimeter skills are not up to scratch thanks again Tom

It will look like lower symbol, may be combined onto 2000 ohm setting.

I do see a diode range, look at the symbol.
