Panasonic TH-58PX600U 10 blinks

Noob here. Some electronic experience. I am working with a TH-58PX600u 10 blinker - pre power button. None of the TP's on the PA board are shorted to ground. All fuses good on the P-board. Ran through the trouble shooting guide and it seems to be coming from a faulty P-Board, it has bulging 900uf 220v caps 2 of the 3. Removed them from he board and they all meter ~854uf. I am getting around 34vac from the top of all four 220uf 450v caps on the P-board. Found that by accident. I shouldn't be seeing voltage from the top of the caps right. Any ideas?

You actually only need to replace the ceramic capacitor next to the IC.

Would these be the ones? I watched the video and it obviously isnt the same power supply as mine. But these are locateed in the same location to the IC. Also the ones i need are 1uf 50v aluminum caps, right?

You can determine if those are the problem using freeze spray as he showed in the video, so I'd recommend you try that. I've got no experience with this chassis myself.

They are not the issue apparently. I used the spray to cool the ic's but still received the 3 clicks and 10 blinks. I also tested by freezing both at the sametime and all individually. Why would i be seeing vac from the top of the caps??

Can I see an overall shot of your PSU?

The top of the capacitor is sometimes connected to one terminal or is sometimes floating to an internal node.

Bottom of the board, near the brown cap, across from the white-on-black DEC relay would be my guess.

Ok i guess i am not clear on what im looking for in the pic. I took a closer one of the area you described. Are you seeing a component/connection that could be bad?

I am looking at that stand-up board which may be the cause of your 10 blink code. Try freeze-spraying it to see if it sorts out the problem.

Ugh. No go, even after removing the stabalizing silicone. I tried every board with an ic. Still three clicks, ten blinks.

OK, try with the A Board disconnected.

Removed PA connections from the P-Board, no change, 3 clicks 10 blinks.
Removed SC connections from the P-Board, no change, 3 clicks 10 blinks.
Removed SS connections from the P-Board, no reaction, no blinks or clicks.
Removed D connections from the P-Board, no reaction, no blinks or clicks.

Make sense?

Two of those nichicon GN 220uF capacitors on the top left of the PSU, they are bulged. I think though that will be only one of the problems.

Although they look bulged, that would be very rare on this chassis. It's very nice to the caps and they're pretty good caps too. 10 blinks is a PA board failure, not Vsus failure - that would be 4 blinks.

If you can get it cheap enough, otherwise, there is a schematic of it I think, so it can be diagnosed.

New PA board is on it's way.

Well replaced it with a new pa and nothing changed. Still not working. Could those caps be bad? Back to the drawing board, start trouble shooting from the beginning.
