    Panasonic TC-P50S2

    Blinking red light ,10 blinks.

unplugged SS board still blinks 10 times
replugged SS and unplugged SC 7 blinks
SU and SD unplugged from Sc 10 blinks

There is a white light bulb next to where power in goes to SC board ( circled in Pic 3) does this light light up with power on ?Because it does not light even briefly when power cord plugged in or power on button pushed.

SC is failed, check resistance between Vsus and GND on SC.

So it looks shorted; check for shorted FETs on the board. Also try with buffers isolated.

there are 17 on the board i have tested them all once and getting very different readings on most all of them. Going to retest them all again, you mentioned to try with buffers isolated how do i do that?

Yes, EVERYTHING unplugged from SC. They may screw in - this is power signal. Make sure that they are not touching the SC. You can leave them connected to the panel. I don't recommend removing them from the panel as it's a pain in the ass to reconnect them.

You should test from the middle pin (may be bent forwards) to each of the outer pins.

A zero or near zero (<100) reading on diode test indicates a suspect device.

You'll need to remove each of those devices reading near zero (002, 006 etc.) and test them out of circuit.

Hey Tom have not pulled them from board yet .Did some further testing from Panasonic trouble guide and seems to be problem with the A board.I removed it to look at it and found a funny looking transistor on it. I am posting pics of it can you tell me if its normal to have a gob of solder coming out of it on both sides from the what looks like vents? Thanks

That is an inductor, not a transistor. It looks normal to me.

If in circuit, pull it and re-test. If it reads the same it's bad.

Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing hereπŸ€”?

Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ85U No screen No blinks on red power light

                                          Hello,

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

                                          Model number is TH-50PZ85U

Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

I also hear a few clicks.

I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...

XR-77A80K Dead set, red light blinks 8 times. Cannot find error code list.

I have a XR-77A80K here. When plug in & press power, white lindicator light flashes on & off. about 30 seconds later, indicator light flashes 8x red. Checked Sony, Power reset = unplug & plug in. Factory reset involves turning it on, then pressing remote buttons when a picture shows. Well, neither of these "resets" are for a dead set like this. Anyone know what 8 blinks indicates, from the schematic? Thanks!

Samsung UN60F8000BFXZA ~ No Picture or Sound - 5 Res Light Blinks
                                          by kca
                                          Hello all ~

I’m working on this Samsung 60” LED and purchased a new main board a couple of days ago that did not fix the 5 blink issue. The original main board’s HDMI ports (all 4 of them) failed to work and no amount of reflow remedied that.

This 5 red light blink code on the front panel LED is followed (about 15-20 seconds afterward) by an automatic reboot, and results in 5 more red light blinks. Then the entire cycle repeats itself indefinitely.

                                          No picture. No sound.

I tested all the voltages coming out of the power supply...
