Panasonic plasma TC-42PC2 single blink = bad "A" board (equiv TC-42PX24)

I picked up a 42" Panny TC-42PC2 plasma (mfr late 2010) a while back for next to nothing and it had no picture with a single blinking red LED power light. The 6, 7, and 10 blinks are well documented but single blink not so much. Fast forward to a few days ago when I came across a TC-42PX24 with a broken screen and bought it for even closer to nothing. Turns out these both use the same panel and boards with the main (only?) difference being that the 42PX24 has an anti-reflective (AR) glass on the front. I swapped the A board which is the board with all of the inputs and my 42PC2 is now working perfectly. I wanted to document this fix so others searching might stumble upon this thread.

Now, my curiousity has me wondering what it might have taken to fix the A board if I had dug into it. Not sure it is worth it now. I'm expecting that I can sell the power supply and sus boards to more than cover what I have into this entire project so maybe I'll just throw in the bad A board for free to whomever buys the other parts.

The A Boards are a very common failure on this set. Apparently a combination of BGA bond failures and sometimes a voltage regulator failing.
