    Samsung le32r81bm/xtl

Have a TV SAMSUNG LE32R81BM/XTL, the problem is that the set enters in Standby mode, without any response to Remote or physical touch of the switch. Have checked the SMPS Board with another working LE32R81BM, it works fine, the problem is with the main Board BM41-00839B (2007.02.21), the A5V is available, A3.3V is also available, the oscillations at SUB MICOM IC is also OK, now the power ON/OFF signal to the SMPS is not obtainable, have checked the operation of KEY INPUT 1 and KEYINPUT 2, through the scope, using the remote control at the SUBMICOM input, it is fine, still cant figure out the problems... the board schematic says that 13VDC should be available from the SMPS Board, but I cant understand how this would be possible since the SMPS should start from the signal SW_PWR coming out from the SUBMICON...

Can someone who has worked on it or encountered such standby problem help me out...would be glad... as I may have missed some thing...

    Many thanks in advance,

It is possible for the touch switches on these models (I think it uses touch panel, not real buttons) to fail, causing erroneous key presses. Have you tried to start it with the touch panel removed?

      Hi,

I had checked with the entire LCD unit including frame by interchanging them on a working set, so I think that's ruled out and confirms the problem with the main board....any other infor / fault /guide???

      Best Regards

I'm talking about the board which holds the controls for the buttons on the side of the unit, power on/off, standby, etc. Or is this model using a single power on button and side controls as well?
