    Magnavox 37MF321D-37 problem

I have the Magnavox 37MF321D-37. It seems to be doing the 5 seconds to black but the power light isnt coming on at all. Ive tried the basic replacing the caps and diode on the power supply to no avail. I just wanted to see if you guys had any other input to check something I missed thanks

Pictures of all the boards and one of the overall chassis would help us help you.

Ok... Here are the pics front and back of the power and main boards and the overall chassis. please pardon the crappy pics (from my cell) if you look closely there is a zap mark on the back of the power board. I had it plugged in and bumped it and it shorted at the power socket and blew a fuse. It didn't however change the turning on issue or lack there of

OK, what brand and series is that blue capacitor on the power board, next to the other two that you replaced?

May be low ESR but cannot be sure... if you can find another one that is low ESR could you swap it just to rule it out.

                Re: Magnavox 37MF321D-37 problem

Most cheap, low temp high ESR caps won't work. I've got 3 of those freakin boards, and putting the wrong caps in can cause you countless other problems! You can pull that board out and test it with it plugged in, but you have to connect loads for each of the 16V, +24v and -24v. I built a test jig to put a load on all 3 supplies, and LED's to show which are putting out voltage. Most problems that can't be fixed with just replacing caps seem to be in the 4A, 24volt line theres a power MOSFET STP45NF3LL that goes bad as well as diode 6074, an 8v 1/2w zener They're not so bad after fixing a few!

Problem with LG Plasma 60PM6700 - Random power downs
                  by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
                  1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
                  2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
                  3. Problem: TV shuts down

                  i have a problem with thinkpad X1 carbon gen 2 "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021"
The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double...

                  Lenovo T580 - LCD Panel problem - error 0288
                  by perzyk23
                  Good morning,
I have a problem with Lenovo T580, which after error code 0288 suggests a problem with the display. I checked the display and it works on another laptop. I replaced the display cable with a new one. I programmed another BIOS (downloaded from this forum) and I still have the problem of a dead display - there is an image via HDMI, and the system does not detect the built-in LCD at all. The problem appears to be hardware. What can I check to confirm or disprove this? I found many threads on the Internet related to this problem 0288, but without specific solutions. Please advise....

                  Dell 15R-5521 keyboard problem (KBC?)
                  by SDNarcia
Hello, I have a Dell 15R-5521, with the problem that the Ctrl, Alt, Shitf and Num Lock keys do not work, I tested the keyboard with a keyboard tester and it is functional, I also got another new keyboard and the computer has the same problem with the same keys. Check continuity between the ZIF connector from the keyboard to the KBC and all pins are correct. I cleaned the ZIF connector and the KBC and I still have the same problem. I reinstalled windows just in case, and it didn't work. I updated the BIOS to the latest version A16 and there were no changes.

                  As additional information,...
