Found Philips capacitor in an old CRT (Philips 37KV1232)

I fixed another CRT TV, a Philips 37KV1232, chassis GR1AX

I found 5 bad caps and replaced them. One of them was Philips 220uF 16V with real capacitance 45uF and ESR ~8ohm, not bulging though.

The colors were bad and I found that 1 of the 3 transistors on the board on the neck of tube, a BF422, was bad and I replaced it. The colors are good now. Not great, but acceptable for a 20 years old TV.

Philip's capacitor (and other passives) business was spun off to BC Components, then Vishay BC Components.

Philips 32PFL5605H/12 issue with displayed colors
      by croupier36
Need help with this unit...looks like the colors are not displayed correctly....not an expert, but looks like something wrong with the GREEN...have attached the photo of the 'home menu' and the recorded video of the Demo video that's on the TV for viewing/testing.

Where should I look for faults? Everything else looks/works ok.

BTW...have upgraded to the latest FW/SW version, but nothing changed....

Philips 70PUS7855/12 bad colors when applying the tape fix on teh T-con board
      by silikon77
      Hi!
Got an 70 inch Philips tv model 70pus7855/12 from scraps and I decidet to give it a go. I'm an enthusiast but no porfessional in the electronics.
Found some advices watching youtube nad came up with this:
It came with no picture, after diagnosing it I found out that the right side of the T.con board was faulty.
I taped down the clock signals and I got a picture but the left side of the panel has less pronounced colours. Only the right 3rd side of the panel has good colors.
      See attached picture.

I tried a few combinations to block individual clock...

      Samsung C32HG70 - Blown Ceramic Capacitor (CP813)
      by NuclearSpartan
      Hi everyone,

I'm new to this, so I apologize for not providing enough details. Is there anything else I need to mention? I'm trying to learn more about electronic/board repairs and hopefully fix my own.

The only visible issue on my board is one capacitor, CP813, which appears to be labeled R 221k 2kV (possibly obsolete to B 221k 2kV now). My monitor hadn't shown any prior issues, although it is a few years old. Just before the capacitor popped, there was a high-pitched squeal for 2–3 seconds.

I don't see any other visible damage anywhere else on the board....

      =========
      PC43 : Capacitor [3x1.5mm]
      PL7 : Inductor [2x1mm]

      Any ideas would be appreciated.

I can get Capacitor values from nearby components but wanted to know the max ratings also I dont have equipment to measure inductors....

Fried capacitor on Dell-5520. Guilty as charged.
      by Lapsmith
While installing new SSD's in my new to me Dell 5520 laptop, I dropped a screw which sparked and fried a capacitor. Yes, I know I should have disconnecte the battery first Doh!😡. The laptop runs fine, but I want to replace the capacitor asap. I ordered and received the replacement (10uF, 25V 0603). Since I also managed to burn up one of the pads it was soldered to, my main question is whether it is okay to solder this capacitor on top of another capacitor (same size, same function in circuit). Specifically, PC4428 is bad and no way to easily solder to the board. I would like to solder it piggy...
