    Bush ly2211 wcw.

The power board / inverter board fitted to this is a PCA 060FB -011-P-R.
The tv will not switch on , when switched on all that can be heard is a faint high pitch squeal. Any one worked on this board before , i just opened this tv it up today ,
gone over the board with a few quick tests , nothing found faulty as yet.
Just looking for any possible time saving info before doing more in depth tests!.

      HI Tom
While taking the photographs i noticed F1 a surface mount fuse looked
charred , i decided to test it and have found it to have gone high resistance
at 45 ohms. I have circled it in the photograph , look lower right.
I am leaving the tv until tomorrow now as i have no time to do any more work
on it today. Tomorrow i will to fit a new fuse and do a few more tests i noticed
C24 had slightly high esr and the capacitance was a little out of tolerance , i will replace it tomorrow. This is one of those tv's where the display panel has to be
removed to get to the boards , a bit more fiddly.

Hopefully it will work with the fuse replaced.

I would personally replace all those capacitors -- look very poor. Fuse is hopefully the main issue. Good luck!

I'm only pointing this out for the newbies which you obviously are not.

Many people who come to this forum say the fuse tests good on continuity mode. What they don't realize is that the threshold for "continuous" can be pretty high on some multimeters. For example, one really cheap multimeter will be "continous" for any reading under 1800 ohms.

Depending on your multimeter, 45 ohms might be continuous misleading a newbie (not you) into believing the fuse is good.

This is why I always say that a good fuse should measure less than 1.0 ohms.

Very true about the fuses info. Well this tv is working now, still got faults on it though , i have a white screen (sound present) and the built in dvd player don't read the disc. This one is going on the pile for now. The bits off this tv will sell for parts or i will keep the parts for my self. Not the nicest tv's to work these as the screen has to come out every time you open it up.

Failed DVD -- common fault, due to dead spindle motor. Needs new drive (spindle motor is unobtanium), £20-ish quid on eBay, probably not worth it for a 22"?

White screen most likely due to bad fuse on t-con.
