Yes, I looked into this, and I noticed P34 is missing on some of the G20 boards, but present on most V20 boards, the main difference being the absence of the fan on the G20.

Can you take picture of bottom of PSU... we need to trace if any of those pins go to the main board.

      Ok
One of the pin is connected to pin 14 of the P7

And P7 goes to A board

Is one of those pins going to ground? (the screw hole is a good ground to test against)

I looked it up and P34 is actually for the power switch, if present. Not for fan. Damn. Until I find the exact service manual for the V20, I'm stuck. May have to ask a friend.

This is an Australian p50V20A manual.

No fans in this and the A-board PCB is TNPH0845 part/version# TXN/A1LHUA50

It may be the VT20 that has fans. (3D version.)

Must be region specific then? Yes I can see the TH-P50VT20Z which I believe is New Zealand model so our Aussie one probably has also. Makes me wonder why not the v20 which I have.

                          VT = V-series Three-D.
                          V = V-series.

Driving a plasma panel with 3D contentrequires more brightness and faster switching (more power dissipation.)

fair enough, that makes sense. Thanks.

In regards to the original board issue, I can't see if the exact version of each TNPH0838 A-boards he has been identified.

if I'm understanding the story he's purchased an A board from the UK?
Will a UK tuner work in his country?
I know that NZ and Aust have different frequency steps and range is also a little different.

I've tried it , not a single channel picked up. Boards were physically identical.

Most of Europe uses a very similar standard to Freeview DVB for over-the-air TV, which I believe is interoperable across all of Europe, but you could always use an external box for that in case that doesn't work.

Courtesy of a good friend, here is a VT20 service manual. I am going to wait at least a few days before posting it on SM site, per his request. Had to split it in two to get it up (woo, Python pyPDF), as it's a fringe bigger than 10MB.

My friends, the bad news is that this model has more than two fans ,that change and speed of rotation according to the operation of the TV

The other problem is that I can not open this TV to see where they are fans
The man said "never " Аnd the TV is mounted on a wall which further limits visual information for fans .
But certainly I see two fans on both sides

But most likely, fans have a separate board of management

a new board that came has three connectors more than my

                                  1 is the subwoofer

2 and 3 are perhaps the connection between A board and board fans.

Looking at the schematic, the fan control is done through the "D" board on the VT20.

You do not have a D board as yours has the functionality combined onto the A board.

I'm guessing that some signal somewhere will be missing and there's little you can do about it, because it's not a simple on/off error.

Are you sure it's from a V20? Because there's no way that the V20 could use fans.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock

I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

                                            After all of...

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
                                            by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...

                                            Hi everyone!
I happened several times, in the search for help from the web, to consult this very interesting forum.
So I decided to sign up and I intend to participate actively by making available my knowledge and experience on the subject, I'm a new user but at the same time I'm old in the sense that I have 4 decades of experience in repairing and designing electronics but above all I'm a great passionate about the subject.

Having said that I come to the gist of my post on the forum as the title suggests.
For my passion for technology I'm now collecting several...

Panasonic th-p50s10d - blinky red, SC board go boom

My old plasma died when one night recently. When I got to it it was giving a 3.3v sos (3 blinks).
I chased my way through the PSU, and a board, with no results.
Replacing a few bulged caps in the PSU, I eventually got to the SC board that had piles of shorts, a quick cheap replacement from china and the tv powers up again, except
I only have the right half of the picture.
                                            Left half is completely blank.
now the c3 board running this side of the screen has its 3.3 and 5v onto the buffer ic and its got the 60v, so that all seems good.
                                            all the other voltage rails...
