Hi guys,
just been reading through the 50pq6000 unstable 5v thread so im hoping Baileybum1234 or any one else might be able to check 2 voltages for me?
The pub i DJ at has two of these and one went pop last night, done a few tv's before so figured this one would just be bad caps like most of the others
strange thing is the psu is fine (from what i can see and on the meter)
but the fuse has blown on the EAX60987801 (left hand board)
the pin out from the PSU to this board is +VS, GND, +VA, GND, +5v
when i turn the tv on after two relay clicks i get the following for a few seconds
200vdc between the +VS pin and GND (this goes to a fuse thats blown)
60VDC between the +VA pin and GND
5VDC on the +5V
a pulse like clicking can be heard from both the PSU and the EAX609 board befor the PSU shuts down probably due to no load on the +VS pin
when you turn the tv on you get the red standby power led, press power button and it goes blue for a bit then fades away, psu needs to be left a while to reset its self
just noticed there are 6 220uf 250v caps in the middle of this board, 3 have square edges to the top and 3 are curved and slightly taller but there all the same type of caps so i'll start there
